Spacious two-bedroom in-law suite attached to 1700’s farmhouse, situated on our small flower farm and garden co-op just 20 minutes from Boston. Only a mile from the Mass Pike & Rt. 128 (I-95). Centrally located to all Rt. 128 businesses, colleges & hospitals. A 7-min drive to Riverside Green line “D” subway stop into Boston (parking available), or commuter rail stops (Auburndale, Wellesley & Kendal Green Stations). It's a 15-minute drive to Amtrak's "Route 128" station to NYC and points south. The space Originally built in ~1764, our two-bedroom in-law suite is located on the southeastern tip of Weston, a leafy suburb just outside of Boston. The town of Weston requires that the owners live on the premises, which we do. We grow and sell flowers and host a community garden for a few families in the area and a local food pantry. It feels more urban than suburban, given its location and proximity to the city. It is conveniently located only 15 minutes from Boston. The suite has a living room, private full bath, two separate bedrooms, one with a Tempur-pedic queen bed, the other with a full bed. We accept a maximum of 4 guests. There is a kitchenette that has a refrigerator, sink, and convenient appliances for simple meals (microwave, induction one-range portable stove, toaster, coffee grinder (we provide beans), coffee maker, electric water kettle). It has central air-conditioning / heating, free wifi, a portable Bose Mini Speaker, Apple TV, Hulu, Netflix and more. The suite is attached to our house, separated by a common door off of the kitchens. While the suite is private with a separate entrance (up a few stairs), at times you will hear us, our dogs, us cooking in our kitchen, coffee beans grinding, chickens clucking, goats yelling, or community farmers coming and going, depending on the time of year. And we may hear you when you are in the kitchenette. We respect your privacy and make every effort to not disturb you. We are always available for questions or last minute needs. The bathroom and kitchen/fridge have conveniences to make your arrival more enjoyable. The house sits on a busy road and a beautiful wooded and landscaped property, which is yours to explore during your stay. Maybe you want to harvest some tomatoes and basil to eat, have a bonfire outside at night, or sit in the yard and watch the barn swallows flitter about. Maybe you want to cuddle with the goats. Depending on the time of year, there are miles of wooded trails in Weston you can access out the back door, or you can drive to a parking lot one mile away for a more formal entrance to the trails, for both walking (dog friendly trails) or cross-country skiing. The space is suitable for individuals, couples and families who love access to nature, want accessibility to the city, and are seeking a warm and unique place to get away from the business of it all. The property is located one mile from both the Mass Pike and Route 128 (aka 95), and centrally located to all the Route 128 businesses, Boston area colleges (especially Brandeis, Wellesley, Regis and Babson, and 20 minutes from B.C., Harvard, B.U., Northeastern, Simmons, Mass Art, etc.). It is about a 7-minute drive to the Riverside Green line “D” subway stop (ample parking at Riverside), or close to multiple commuter rail stops into town. It is a 15-minute drive to the Amtrak Acela Train stop (128/University Park Station) to NYC and points south. Reminders: This is a non-smoking residence and property. Check-in is 3pm, checkout is 10am. Guest access When you arrive, you can pull into the half-circle driveway and park anywhere but we prefer you park under the maple trees on the bark mulch area by the rock wall. Please be sure to leave the half-circle driveway open for vehicles to pass through. The entrance is on the right (east) side of the house, at the top of the diagonal stone steps. On the day of your arrival, we will give you a keyless lock combination that is unique to you during your stay. Other things to note We want our guests to have the best stay possible in our in-law suite. We are not a hotel. We offer what we think are unique and sweet accommodations. We live just on the other side of the house (so you may hear us from time to time), and are located on a major route to Boston. We have about four community gardeners coming and going during the growing season to weed or feed chickens or hang out with the goats. Our dogs are friendly and announce with enthusiasm all arrivals and departures from the farm :-) - little Una is a sweetie who thinks she is 10 feet tall, and Rosie is a very expressive and vocal cuddle bug. They are restricted from accessing the driveway area, thanks to an electric invisible fence. They do not cross it. We aim to please our guests and are happy to meet you or allow you to have an independent check-in. We are only a knock or text away.
