Sidewalk (with gentle slope and no steps) from driveway level around the right end of the house brings guests to the patio level and the private apartment entrance. Other things to note Across McElhattan Creek from Windridge is the Wayne Township Nature Park, featuring miles of well-maintained trails through native woods, catch-and-release trout fishing for kids 12 and under, a frog pond, a butterfly garden, and covered pavilions and picnic tables for public use. Trails are suitable for shady casual strolls and hiking; one trail leads to the reservoir and dam at the headwaters of the spring-fed Creek. Nearby is a farm with a group of peacocks usually visible from the road.
