THE SPACE ☆☆ BEDROOMS ☆☆ The primary bedroom brings together a stunning combination of blues with a brand new king bed, windows overlooking the yard, two nightstands with bedside lamps, and a soft area rug on top of gorgeous new grey floors. Just down the hall is a massive second bedroom offering two brand new queen beds and another private bathroom. Finally, in the third bedroom, you’ll find another queen bed in a gorgeous farmhouse checkerboard design. All the bedrooms feature new luxury mattresses and smooth linens so that you fall asleep in no time at all. You don’t have to leave the comfort of your bed to catch a favorite show; there are brand new smart TV's in each room, and YouTube TV is provided for guests' use. ☆☆ BATHROOMS ☆☆ There are three bathrooms spread throughout the home, all of which have been recently upgraded with elegant fixtures and designer finishes. The master bathroom offers a stunning farmhouse mosaic tiled master shower and plenty of plush hotel-quality towels. The second en suite bathroom has a sparkling bathtub/shower, beautiful gray and white tiles. Black and white accents flow into the third bathroom, where you can enjoy a hot steamy shower surrounded by gorgeous white hex tiles. All bathrooms will pamper you with complimentary toiletries including all the essentials like hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner from our favorite brands. ☆☆ KITCHEN & LOUNGE ☆☆ There are many great restaurants just minutes away, but on days you want to cook at home, the open-concept kitchen has everything you need to create delicious meals. It features modern touches like a subway-style backsplash, expansive counter space, custom cabinets, a large sink, whisper-quiet dishwasher, and kitchen appliances like a toaster, oven/stove, microwave, and multiple coffee maker options to suit every java lovers dreams. The warm and welcoming living room centers around a classic farmhouse-style fireplace that adds a warm glow to the room on those chilly evenings. There's a mounted flat-screen TV just above, and the leather sofas ensure everyone gets the best seat in the house. Pop some popcorn and enjoy a family movie night together. ☆☆ OUTSIDE SPACE ☆☆ The home sits on 1.5 acres in Sister Bay and offers a quiet and peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. A cozy, shaded front porch welcomes you home and is complete with outdoor lounge furniture to sit and enjoy your morning coffee in the vibrant air. Outside also features an outdoor bar for your family gatherings, as well as a beautiful new fire pit area, and horseshoe pits coming late spring 2022. Two standup paddle-boards and four sets of snowshoes are available to help you on your adventures. ☆☆ AMENITIES ☆☆ Northwoods Farmstead offers guests a combination of modern comfort and farm-style tradition. However, we work hard to ensure our guests have unbeatable amenities to create a truly memorable vacation. Outdoor Bar: Our outdoor bar is an amenity that truly stands out. During the busy summer months in Door County, the outdoor bar is the best way to end the day. There are six barstools at the bar, and there's additional seating via bench seating surrounding the bar. The vintage string lights create a natural ambiance for your group to relax with. Fire Pit: The fire pit provides the perfect end to your vacation evenings. We offer eight Adirondack chairs with cupholders surrounding the fire pit, as well as additional seating if needed. We provide blankets for guests to use around the fire pit (located in the garage) along with a starter pack of fire wood for guests, and guests can procure additional wood if needed. Paddle Boards: We provide two inflatable stand up paddle boards for our guests to use. We have two life jackets (adult universal size), the paddles, waterproof bags, the boards, air pumps, and a video guide on how to use them. However, note that if you're looking forward to exploring Door County by water via our paddle boards, transportation of them is something you should consider prior to your trip. While our home is less than a mile from downtown Sister Bay, we are located right off Highway 57, and walking into town with the paddle boards is not a feasible trek. So, if you're looking to head into Sister Bay or to another area of Door County with the paddle boards in tow, please be sure to note that you'll need a truck to transport them, or an SUV that can support having them tied to the top. Yard Games: There is plenty of green space to spread out and enjoy a sunny day in Sister Bay at Northwoods Farmstead. We offer a custom bag toss set for your group to enjoy along with the game of Kuub. Ping Pong: Gather with friends and family and start your own ping pong tournament (we've literally had this happen)! We have a full ping pong table, plus all the paddles and ping pong balls you could dream of. Guest access When you stay at Northwoods Farmstead, you’ll have the entire property to yourself. Take advantage of the amenities available; bring your laptops, connect to the WiFi, get work done before you play, and use the full-size washer and dryer in the private laundry room to stay on top of your laundry. There is plenty of space to park on the driveway, and you’ll be given a digital key code to access the property. From here, you’re less than five minutes from the local grocery store, gas stations, coffee shops, locally-owned shops, ice cream shops, and some of the area’s most popular shops and restaurants in Sister Bay. You’re also a short drive from beaches, parks, playgrounds, walking & hiking trails, and nature centers. Our home will offer your family modern comforts through brand new luxury mattresses, three gorgeous and private bathrooms, and a comfortable open kitchen, dining room, and living room space. The home is ideally located 2 minutes south of downtown Sister Bay, and our property is directly off Highway 57. That means two things, it's very easy to get to, but there's also plenty of traffic on Highway 57 around Sister Bay. While we're confident it won't hinder your stay, it's important to note that you may see or hear cars passing by the home on the highway. Additionally, while our home is less than a mile from most of downtown Sister Bay's main attractions, walking into town is not always simple, as Highway 57 is a busy road with small shoulders and no sidewalks or bike paths. We can provide answers to questions on how to walk to town if needed, but we do recommend that guests be prepared to drive to and from our home as that's the best means of transportation to and from the house. However, we are also right off the Sister Bay shuttle bus's stop at Twelve Eleven wine, which runs to and from multiple locations surrounding Sister Bay every 30 minutes Thursday through Saturday, from 5:00 pm to 2:00 am from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Northwoods Farmstead does have two external cameras that record 24/7 monitoring the driveway as well as the fire pit. The property also uses noise decibel monitoring systems that monitor audio decibel levels on the property to ensure positive neighbor relations and guest experiences.
