Woodland Retreat features a quaint log home with a beautiful stone fireplace. It is situated on 130 acres of woodland 3 miles from Cook Forest State Park. This secluded spot is home to a variety of wildlife. There are several hiking trails and a small creek runs through the property. It is the perfect place for a family gathering or a peaceful getaway. The cabin is located on a private lane with small children, please drive slowly and be respectful of the neighbors. The space Woodland Retreat is a comfortable and clean log home. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, including a large tub. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor. It is a large bedroom and includes a queen bed & a set of bunkbeds. The other 3 bedrooms are upstairs. There is a large wood-burning fireplace in the family room. Included is an attached 2 car garage and laundry facilities are located in the basement. The kitchen and dining room are adjacent to the family room on the first floor. The back porch is a great place for entertaining and the cozy upstairs balcony is a perfect spot for relaxing with a book. There is also an outdoor firepit near the creek. The more adventuresome can feel free to put up a tent in the surrounding woods for a private campsite. Guest access Please do not attempt to access any locked areas. Guests are not permitted in the woodshed or large detached garage. Other things to note There is NO hunting or TRAPPING permitted on the property. There are NO exceptions. Pets are not permitted. There is an open staircase. Parents of small children need to be mindful.
