MaMere's Guest House (aka historic Howell House) - is a charming 5 bedroom/4 bath home in Monmouth, OR - a quaint college town. Perfect for family gatherings & wine tasting adventures. This house has three floors. The space MaMere's Guest House was built in 1891 and the Historic Howell House is listed on the Historic Registry. The house is charming and unique! Located in the heart of Willamette Valley wine county, our little town of Monmouth is a haven from which to explore the surrounding vineyards and visit Western Oregon University. The house has three floors and climbing stairs is required to access the bedrooms. We do have a twin/trundle on the first floor in our study - but still requires getting up front steps. All tubs are old clawfoot tub style and require stepping up and in. Two of the four tubs have stand up showers and 2 have European showers (hand held, sit down showers). We have a TV with streaming capabilities and lots of DVDs, games and books - and great wifi for utilizing your own tablets and devices. Outside courtyard includes a gazebo, plenty of outdoor seating, bistro lights, & yard games and is a great place to sit in the summer months. Enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of Willamette Valley wine on our front and back porch rocking chairs during your stay. Kids have a great time in the splash fountain and playground in Main Street park, just across the street. We also have an adjacent event and retreat space available for rent called the Carriage House (comfortably holds events for 20-25 people, depending on set up). Perfect for rehearsal dinners, showers, art/crafting events, and yoga. If interested in adding on this space, please inquire with owner for availability. Rental includes tables and chairs for 24. Outside courtyard with gazebo and plenty of outdoor seating space. Yard jenga and cornhole also available!
