The space The Hillside Lodge is idyllically nestled in the Lao countryside. We are a family run place offering authentic bungalows with a twist of style for only 20 guests. Set amidst a lush tropical garden, it’s a heaven for a variety of beautiful butterflies. The 9 charming bungalows are spread out on a small hill, with views over the lush tropical garden and the mountains. All rooms are built with locally grown wood and come with bamboo ceilings and polished wooden floors, and are just a few steps away from the swimming pool. Your host will be Quentin, the French manager who takes care of your needs and wishes together with his enthusiastic Lao team. Most probably, you will also meet me, Holger (German), and my Lao wife Aloun. We are the owners who made a dream come true. The mission was to create a unique place that we love and embrace, and that we can share with our guests from all over the world. THE ROOM RATES INCLUDE BREAKFAST. Lunch and diner are served in the a la carte restaurant. Guest access Hillside offers a outdoor swimming pool, a herbal steam bath,organic garden, bicycle rental, petanque court, a beach volley ball court and a couple of self-guided treks. For this we hand out a map. Further on it is easy to access to two nearby waterfalls and some ethnic authentic villages by feet.
