There are two en suite bedrooms + two mezzanine floors (one TV lounge and the other can be converted to Bedroom 3), all opening onto a round living space with fitted kitchen and large teak dining table. We are just 10 minutes from the main shopping malls and 20 minutes from Lusaka airport. Coffee Cottage is an ideal base for business or tourism. Perfect for families as a more economical and child-friendly alternative to hotels. Solar backup, wifi, 24hr security, car on request. The space The cottage has a lovely open plan layout with two en suite bedrooms downstairs opening on to a round living space with new fitted kitchen and folding doors out onto large veranda. Above the living area are two mezzinine spaces, one TV lounge and the other side is convertible into Bedroom 3. Guest access You will have exclusive use of cottage. The cottage has it's own private garden but the other house on the property is under long term let with a U.S solar company. We offer 2GB free wifi with every booking, which you can then top-up as required (roughly $10/GB - internet costs are much higher than in Europe or the U.S so make sure your devices are not set to auto-update!). There is 24hr security so just beep and someone will open the gate. If going out at night then it is useful to inform the nightwatchman roughly what time to expect you back. A braai/bbq stand is available on request plus charcoal is available ($2/bag). Other things to note The electricity supply has been excellent in 2020 so far, and we anticipate continued good service, although load shedding may increase towards Oct/Nov during the end of the dry season when water levels in the Kariba damn may have gone down again. We have solar back-up which provides light and USB charging facility in the cottage, but is insufficient to power stove or fridge freezer. The latter is fine for a few hours, and food will remain frozen. If power is off and you want to cook, we have a range of braai stands for cooking on charcoal.
