The Farmhouse Retreat & Wellness Center is an intimate, temporary haven-a safe space to heal, recharge and to help both pets & people. We are here to serve the need we all have, individually and collectively, for an oasis of peace, calm & creativity, for reflection, restoration, & rejuvenation. Access to Longwood Gardens, your own private waterfall natural pool, acres of walking trails, lovely gardens, and rustic decor. Your stay contributes to Elysian Sanctuary Non Profit Artist Programs. The space There are 3 available bedrooms downstairs, 2 with a full bed, and one with a pair of twin beds. Upstairs in the loft, there are 3 additional twins available. The farmhouse is a 300-year-old mill that sits against its own private pond and waterfall and has beautiful trails for wandering and reconnecting with nature. The main floor is an open floor plan with an enormous dining room table, lots of cozy sitting areas, a functioning fireplace, piano, books, board games, and more. The kitchen is charming and has a separate table, as well as an outdoor picnic table on the deck. There is a bathroom in the main hall of the bedrooms, and another half bath on the main floor. The gardens are extensive and welcome both pollinators and people. We do have friendly rescue animals that roam the main parts of the house but are kept out of the guest rooms at all times. They welcome your pets to come visit. Guest access There is parking in the driveway available, when you arrive you'll climb the stairs up to the back deck, take in the lovely pond, ducks, geese and egrets, and then come through the sliding doors. Guests have access to all the public areas in the home, the dining, kitchen, sitting areas, decks, grounds, the little library under the stairs. The founder of the Farmhouse, Barbara is available at all times for any needs or questions, Anouk the cat is a brilliant conversationalist, while Cash, the rescue dog is rather introverted and keeps to himself most of the time. During your stay We are available for anything the guests need. We're very friendly and are happy to tour you around, chat, and socialize if that suits, otherwise we tend to give you your space to enjoy the retreat center fully. The retreat center is overseen by Barbara, the caretaker/founder of the Farmhouse Non-Profit her dog: Cash and cat: Anouk both of whom are very friendly. Other things to note The Farmhouse Founder, Barbara is available and on site during your stay. We do allow people to bring their pets, and do have both a rescue dog and cat on the property, though they are not allowed in guest rooms. We are open to special requests and helping plan for special occasions. This property is part of the Elysian Sanctuary initiative, and parts of your stay contribute to retreats and residencies for artists and creatives.
