Each room in the Gufler Mansion is uniquely furnished, and provides comfortable elegance. The Spanish Room is decorated with fun, festive colors against a sunlight background. It's in the southwest corner of the second floor, and overlooks quiet, charming tree-lined streets within walking distance of downtown Emporia. Your stay includes a free breakfast, and in the evenings you can check out award winning restaurants, or hide away in a surprisingly cozy corner in the spacious mansion. The space Construction began on the mansion in 1915, at the behest of Albert Henry Gufler. The original woodwork highlights the updated amenities of the home. Throughout the home you will find glimpses of history intertwined with modern enhancements. Guest access The Gufler Mansion boasts several full kitchens, a library, dining room, parlor, banquet room, and sun porches that are all available to all of our guests. It's a lovely way to meet fellow travelers, but there's plenty of space in the 10,000 sq ft mansion to find a quiet space for yourself. Other things to note The Gufler Mansion is also an event venue. There may sometimes be small events scheduled (for example a cocktail hour with about 30 guests) for the banquet room in the Mansion.
