Stay in the historic Wyckoff-Mason House, a Pittsburgh Historical landmark. This beautifully kept log house built in 1774-75, still maintains the colonial charm of pre-revolutionary times. This property has a storied past, including local lore that it was the residence of William Penn’s brother and was visited by Benjamin Franklin. This relaxing getaway is located in one of Pittsburgh’s eastern suburbs. Get the best of the countries antiquity while visiting the city. We love all people. The space Doorways are lower than the average and the floors slope in some areas being this is a 1774 log house. Beware as you walk to the bathroom. The bathroom is at the end of the upstairs so a walk through the second bedroom is necessary to get to it. Guest access Livingroom with air conditioning, full access cable TV, small frig, microwave and internet access. 2 bedrooms with air conditioners and full size bed in each room. The mattresses are covered with protectors mattress pads and fresh sheets. Electric blankets are available during the winter season. 1 bathroom with hair dryer and toiletries. Plenty of fresh towels are available. There is also an outside access to a full length furnished porch. Other things to note Please note that this log home was built in 1774. The floors are slanted and the doorways in the bedrooms are rather low. Tall folks beware. The beds are fulls size not queen. Good quaility and some have said "the best sleep ever".
