Get away from it all in our lovely, spacious home with its new kitchen, in Eaton Center, just 5 minutes to Crystal Lake and the Eaton Village store/cafe, and 15 min to the shops and restaurants in North Conway. Our place is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, couples, chefs, and families. Our two floor home with two living areas is great for privacy and working remotely. Enjoy skiing at local peaks, hiking beautiful trails, warming in front of our fireplace or shopping in town. We are owner-operated The space Our sunny house offers a deluxe, newly renovated kitchen with loads of counter space and two sinks. This1700 sq/ft. home has two living rooms/dining areas, one on each floor. These both provide quiet workspaces for those working from home. The large downstairs living room space is ideal for relaxing in front of the TV, playing board games or puzzles around the table, and reading on the leather sectional. The upstairs space is equally suited for working from home as it has a large dining table or you can relax in the living room in front of the gas stove as you enjoy the views of our 13-acre lot. You will enjoy relaxing in our sun-drenched upstairs living space with its gas fireplace or lounging in the lower living space, with its Apple TV and a Blu-Ray/DVD player. The upstairs and lower-level decks offer you views of the field and woods as you sip your morning coffee or evening cocktail. You can also enjoy our gas fire pit (in season). Our guests love using our Eaton Beach pass during the summer for access to Crystal Lake-- a short 2.4 mile drive away. The beach in summertime is for residents and their guests only and parking is limited. Dogs are not allowed at the beach. Please note: we have delicious well water, fully tested and safe. There is no need to bring bottled water. Also please note: Due to the increased wear and tear and other expenses, we charge an additional $10 per person per night for reservations over 2 people. Guest access Guest access includes the use of the washer, dryer, and clothes iron, on the lower level. Many guests enjoy our large backyard, porch swing, bbq grill (in season), and outdoor fire pit (in season). Other things to note Our home is less than five minutes to hiking and biking trails and the Eaton Beach on Crystal Lake (we have a guest pass). Take a quick hiking trip up Foss Mountain offering 360-degree views plus amazing views of Mt. Washington and the whole valley. Stop off at the Foss Mountain Alpaca Farm on the way. Drop by the Eaton Village Store and buy local goods, wine/beer or pick up breakfast or lunch. We have high-speed internet at our place that works well for streaming Netflix, etc. We have seen download speeds as fast as 100mbps, and upload speeds at 5mbps. From the bedroom in the basement (the farthest you can get from the router and still be in the house), my iPhone got 51 down and 2.2 up. YMMV. Please note that you are in the country! Cell service is spotty at best around Eaton and Conway, and occasional power outages and internet service failures are inevitable--though we hope not during your stay! We do recommend you activate wifi calling on your cell phone (if you haven't already when you arrive). We have a landline, but it's only for emergencies and 911 calls. We will take care of trash removal. There are bags in the counter cabinet. Please put excess trash and recycling in the bins out back. Please note: this is not a party house. We truly hope you are comfortable and have a good time, but we have many items of personal value and we spend a lot of time at this house. Roughhousing and overdrinking are not expected here and we will be communicating with AirBnB about any abuses.
