Spacious Private Apartment in Lovely Home. You will enjoy the entire lower level of the main house (apprx. 876 sq. ft.) that has a separate, private entrance. Just a block from the campus of Presbyterian College in a quiet, safe neighborhood. My home is also steps from the campus of the Thornwell Home for Children and Thornwell's Lush Acres Farm. The space NEW IN 2024: Full-size Washer and Dryer! There is a full-size laundry room in the bathroom closet and guests are welcome to use the W/D during their stay. Other amenities offered are a microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, hot plate, crock pot, toaster oven, air fryer, George Foreman indoor grill and a mini fridge. There is always fresh water in the five-gallon jug water cooler. I provide coffee and tea pods/bags, cream and sugar/sweeteners. Fresh fruit provided when I am in town and available to procure; otherwise, light breakfast items such as instant oatmeal and cereal bars will be available. The living area is cozy but spacious with a 10-foot sectional sofa and a love seat with a pull-out single sleeper. Both sofas share a good view of the large flatscreen TV where you can stream your favorite shows or sports using the Amazon Fire stick. There is a dedicated workspace in the living area which is comprised of a writing desk and chair. Pens, paper, envelopes and stamps provided. Each bedroom, as well as the main living area, is equipped with a mini split ductless HVAC system with remote controls, allowing for climate-controlled temperatures throughout the Airbnb. Please note: The heat and air cannot be run simultaneously between units. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a memory foam/hybrid mattress, single dresser/mirror, garment rack with hangers, luggage rack, tea cart and round glass table top night stands. The second bedroom has a king-sized bed with a memory foam mattress, two night stands, a chair and ottoman. Both mattresses are new and comfortable. Each bedroom has a full length mirror hanging inside the bedroom doors. Forgot your phone charger? No problem! Each bedroom has a charger placed on the night stand which will accommodate most smart phones. Shower towels as well as towels for the pool are in the linen closet in the bathroom. An assortment of sunscreens are available for your use also. Should you forget your toothbrush, feel free to use the extra toothbrushes provided in the top center vanity drawer. I do my best to keep the Airbnb fully stocked with everything you might need. If, during your stay, you should run out of any essentials like soap, shampoo/conditioner or TP, please reach out to me in text or a phone call and I will be sure you are taken care of promptly. I live on the property, upstairs in the main house. You may hear footsteps from time to time on the staircase above, and an occasional light, muffled voice. I am oftentimes not on the property during your visit. Whether I am here or not, my guests' comfort and ability to relax and enjoy my peaceful property is always my top priority. Guest access You will have access to the lower level of my home via private entrance. You are welcome to use the pool (mid-April - Oct.) and the BBQ grill & griddle any time of the year. I love where I live and also enjoy the quiet of early mornings sipping my coffee by the pool or even around the fire pit, which is located in the left corner of the back yard. I sometimes sit outside at night and relax under the stars and enjoy the serenity of the pool lit up with its underwater light. I respect your privacy and will do my best to offer you and your group private access to these areas during your stay. I enjoy meeting and conversing with my guests and have even shared meals on occasion; however, I am most respectful of your time away from home and will only interact as you are comfortable. I have been fully vaccinated for Covid-19. If we are to meet and have any interactions and you would like for me to wear a mask in your presence, please indicate your preference upon making your reservation and I will be happy to honor your wishes. Other things to note My home is ideal for those who are visiting students at Presbyterian College or even those PC grad students who are enrolled in long-term rotational internships and are looking for a place to stay during rotation. Come for a weekend or come for a month! The city of Clinton is situated in the beautiful Upstate of South Carolina. We are 40 minutes from downtown Greenville and Spartanburg, about an hour's drive to Columbia, 1.5 hours to Asheville, 2.45 to Charlotte and just under 3 hours from Charleston and Atlanta. We have a vibrant little downtown here in Clinton with shopping and restaurants. There's plenty of retail therapy, too. Tapestry, Clinton's iconic ladies boutique, is located at 316 E. Carolina Avenue, just a quarter mile from downtown. After a day of shopping, enjoy a latte or smoothie at the Vestibule Coffee Shop right next door to Tapestry. Downtown retail stores include the new consignment shop, Tipsy Gypsy and Aspen & Fig, featuring upscale consignments. If you're into antiquing, check out Broad Street Antiques & Vintage Finds. Be sure to visit Sunshine City for fun and classic Carolina apparel. Two of my favorite restaurants downtown are Steamer's Cafe, for delicious wraps, salads, burgers and vegetable plates, located at 104 Musgrove Street, and House of Pizza at 120 Musgrove for great pizza, wings and calzones. The Pasture, on Broad Street has a delicious menu of home-cooked entrees with an upscale flare and an a la carte' menu of mouth-watering steak cuts that are sure to please! The Lumberyard is Clinton's place to see and be seen. A favorite for locals as well as frequent visitors and the PC community, you'll feel right at home here. Craft beers, live music and an atmosphere where "everybody knows your name"! Lake Greenwood is just 30 minutes away and Newberry, home of the Newberry Opera House, a mere 20 miles from here. We are just minutes from historic Musgrove Mill, a haven for Civil War history buffs, where there are beautiful trails along the Enoree River. Musgrove Mill Golf Course is directly across the street from Musgrove Mill Historic Site. There is also a municipal golf course, Lakeside Golf and Country Club, just seven miles down the road in Laurens, which is open to the public.
