Our home is a 15 minute walk to the Hyattsville Crossing Metro station on the green line in beautiful University Park - a quiet, safe neighborhood inside the DC beltway. Easy street parking. Walk, drive, or take the bus to University of Maryland and terrific restaurants. 30 minute Metro trip to Smithsonian. We are quiet, easy-going and LGBT-friendly. We look forward to welcoming you to our home! The space This is a bright, very clean room with wonderful, relaxing energy. The house is elegant with finished woodwork and antiques. The room is private. You share the kitchen, living space and bathroom. Guest access You can relax in the recliner (it's an electric massage chair!) in your room or join us in the common space. I provide breakfast for guests who are staying less than one week. Guests who are staying a week or longer are welcome to cook meals in the kitchen. As you can see, the kitchen is open, bright and clean. There is a Target, a shopping mall and two grocery stores in walking distance: a Whole Foods and a Safeway (each less than a half mile away). We also now have a Trader Joe’s grocery store one mile away. During your stay If I am not at home, I am always available by email or text to answer questions during your stay. Other things to note We are in a perfect location for artists-in-residence in the Hyattsville Arts District or anyone who is doing research at the National Archives. If you have research or an internship at the University of Maryland-College Park, we are a short bus ride (or even a walk) away. If you are attending meetings at the NOAA Center in College Park, you can actually walk! We are close to NASA-Goddard if you have business there. And, of course, you can easily access Capitol Hill, Silver Spring, neighborhoods throughout the metro system, and even National Airport (DCA) using the close-by metro. And now the silver line metro train goes to Dulles airport (IAD)! We are inside the beltway, and Uber drivers are always available. Registration number 8135-2020-0
