The space Surrounded by trees, mountains and water for as far as the eye can see, Ridgy Didge (Australian slang for "authentic" or "original") is the ideal setting for the ultimate relaxing vacation, while also providing all of the comforts and conveniences of home. Complete with Starlink WiFi, a dedicated working space with monitor, and a 48in and a 42in flat screen TV with AppleTV, guests can choose to stay connected to the outside world or unplug entirely. The master bedroom with lakeside views and screened-in porch and the second large queen bedroom share a jack and jill bathroom with double vanity and subway-tiled walk in shower. The remaining queen bedroom and twin bedroom share a second full bathroom with tub. The kitchen is fully equipped with all major appliances, including dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. While basic amenities and supplies are provided (e.g. toilet paper, paper towels, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, towels, sheets, etc.), there's not an indefinite supply of paper products and no foodstuff items (other than oils and spices, salt and pepper, etc.) are provided. You will be able to find everything you should need at the Oquossoc General Store or the IGA in Rangeley. There is a Maytag top loader washer and dryer located in the basement available for your use (together with detergent and stain remover). In the summer months, relax with a glass of wine on the 40ft deck or dine under the stars on our outdoor dining set. A gas grill is provided (please use at your own risk). After dinner, enjoy a nightcap by the outdoor fire pit. Take advantage of the rolling green lawn, two canoes and kayak (paddles and life jackets included, please see below for waiver information). Boat Waiver: This agreement is by and between the owners of Ridgy Didge and the renter of the property. Ownership and Use: The canoes and kayak (collectively, the “boats”) shall at all times be the sole responsibility of the renter during their rental period. The renter shall not exceed the number of persons and/or weight limits specified for each of the boats. Anyone under the age of 18 who uses the boats is the sole responsibility of a parent in attendance and the owners assume NO responsibility for any minor using the boats. Renter shall use the boats and all accessories in a safe manner complying with all boating regulations. Homeowner/boat owner does not presume to know whether renters are able to swim or are aware of boating regulations and therefore renter’s use of the boats is at his/her sole risk. Renters understand that there is an inherent risk in using a boat, including injury or death. Renter Liability: It is expected that the renter will take care of the boats. The boats should be in your possession at all times. In the event that the boats are lost, stolen or damaged, it will be your responsibility to replace them or repair them. In the event that legal action is taken to reimburse the homeowner/boat owner for any damages caused by the renter to the boats, the renter will pay all costs, including reasonable attorney fees. The renter shall assume the sole responsibility for the use of the boats. Renter shall hold homeowner/boat owner and its agents harmless from and against any liability claims, injury, damages, suits, costs, expenses, including legal expenses for whatever kind and nature imposed upon, incurred by or asserted against the homeowner/boat owner on account of damage to, destruction of, loss of property of the boats or any other person in any way arising as a result of the operation of the boats. The indemnities contained in this section shall continue in full force and effect, notwithstanding the termination of this boat liability agreement. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house and grounds. The key to Ridgy Didge is located in a lock box near the front entrance. The passcode will be provided upon confirmation of the reservation. Other things to note Cell phone reception is spotty in the area. Although Starlink WiFi is available at the camp (and is in general pretty great!), please note that reception varies and may not be strong enough for internet streaming.
