The road into camp is a dirt logging road it is passable in a two wheel drive vehicle but small cars with low clearance will need to take there time navigating rocks. So, lucky for us and you we offer a nearly private pond experience and one that will never be developed beyond these camps. Getting to camp requires a 3.5 mile drive on dirt road. The road is a typical style logging road. It is passable in a sedan but careful driving is needed to avoid rocks. We suggest arriving in daylight hours to best navigate ones way into camp. Also, plan accordingly (i.e. meals and supplies). It's only 3.5 miles of dirt road but expect it to take about 20 minutes to travel. Also the nearest stores are located in either Millinocket to the north (18 additional miles) or Brownvile to the south - both about a 35 minute drive from camp. Trapper Bill's cabin is one cabin in a set of historic Sporting camps. We live nearby in the main lodge. We also have two other rental cabins on the same property (another two bedroom, the Guide's Camp & and four bedroom cabin, the Beehive).
