(6-8!) - The spacious yard with hydrangeas and daylillys is the perfect yard for a family whiffle ball game,and children can play safely in the backyard in this private neighborhood. - The house is located in desirable, quintessential Davisville neighborhood, all dirt roads ( old cape cod) just 2 houses back (50 yards!!) from a small neighborhood beach used mostly by the neighbor’s as there is NO BEACH PARKING at this little beach. Tenant may obtain a public beach parking pass (weekly /daily) at the Falmouth Beach house, with presentation of the lease. Tenant is aware this area of Davisville is all dirt roads, with access to small beach 50 yards from the house. Public beach is 1/3 mile walk along dirt roads or also accessed by main road. - The house is available by the week (Saturday - Saturday) from June to late August. From late May until late June, there is a three-night minimum. For other dates, please contact the owner. Description of the house: -The main floor of the house has two large living rooms one for TV viewing and the second used as a sitting area. - Open floor plan to kitchen with 9-foot island, seats 6 comfortably, kitchen table that seats 5-6 also. - An adjacent dining area open to the kitchen seats 6-8. - Laundry room located off the kitchen. - ½ bath and office area. - Guest suite (bedroom) on the first floor with a king bed. - Large covered porch, accessed from the kitchen and the guest suite, overlooks the private backyard with peeks of the beach just one house away. - 2nd Floor - Master bedroom (king) with its own sitting area (magnificent view of Nantucket Sound), and tile bathroom with couples shower. - Bedroom2: 4-poster Queen bed and a comfortable full size pull out sofa. - Bedroom3: Queen and single bed this room, views of the Nantucket Sound, shares a ½ bath with adjacent 4th bedroom. - Bedroom 4: 2 Twin beds, shared half bath. - *Third Floor: 2 twin beds, 1 queen, sturdy Bunk with a single on top and a queen below. 3rd floor Living room with flat screen TV, great for video games. 2 couches, a cot and two additional built-in window beds to sleep or sit as needed. It is a great area for kids and has its own deck, with access to the spacious widows walk. (Sleeps 7 in beds) - All rooms are spacious, airy and beautifully furnished. - We provide all bed linens, also bath beach and kitchen towels. - The house is equipped with books, board games, cards, beach chairs, beach umbrellas. -Bring your own bicycles! - The kitchen is stocked with non-perishable staples left from previous tenants such as spices, sugar, flour, salt, pepper, and basic cleaning supplies. Lobster pot, coffee maker and microwave. - 6 burner gas gourmet stove and full-size refrigerator. - The house is very centrally located. 5 Minute walk to public Menahaunt Beach, and a 5 minute walk to the Green Pond Yacht Club, with a public deep water Boat ramp. - The Island Queen ferry to Martha’s Vineyard is about a 10 minute drive. - The Steamship Authority Ferries, are located 20 minutes away in Woods Hole. (With shopping, restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors, post office, banks, and the science Museum). - An approximately 30-40 minute drive are the Hyannis airport, bus station, hospital, the Hy-Line Ferries, the Cape Cod Mall, loads of discount shopping, the movie theater and numerous beaches and fresh-water ponds. - The Cape Cod Melody tent in Hyannis has world-class performers every summer. The Cape Cod Symphony, also in Hyannis, gives concerts throughout the fall, winter and spring. - Art shows, antiques fairs and flea markets abound all over the Cape throughout the year. - There are several great public golf courses nearby such as BallyMeade, Woods Hole Country Club, Falmouth Country Club and Paul Harney. -Our location is the perfect one from which to explore all corners of the Cape, participate in lots of activities - or just relax. There is no lifeguard at this small neigborhood beach and many of the neighbors launch kayaks, and flotation devices ( not provided) but can be rented during your stay. Public beach ( lifeguard patrolled) is 1/3 mile walk along dirt roads or also accessed by main road.
