The beach is shared with the locals, as tourists are rarely found in the picturesque bay. High fences or walls will be hard to find, because here the South African world is still fine. Vogelkundler fnden nearby the Vermont Salt Pan or right on the beach path a diverse birdlife. In the period from June to November you can watch whales from the beach, some species can even be found all year round. In the neighboring Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, more than 20 wineries invite you to visit. Golfers will get their money's worth at Arabella Resort or Hermanus golf course. Hermanus itself is about 6km from the cottage. Shopping is right around the corner or in the new Whale Coast mall 4 km away. In addition to an open plan living area with TV and seating, there is a fully equipped kitchen. Two bedrooms with each one double/queen size bed and one bathroom with shower and bathtub are provided. From the living room you have access to the covered terrace facing west. The covered porch invites you to linger. Seating and a table for breakfast in the sun are provided. You can walk to the beach in about 15 minutes. It is about a 20-minute walk to the beach. The cottage is located in a quiet side street in the center of Onrus. There is no through traffic.
