The space Things to Do on Tybee Island Tybee Island offers beaches and water activities such as jet-skiing, kayaking, boat rentals, and fishing charters. While the beaches entice you, Tybee Island offers more than sand and surf. Start your exploration at the 145-foot lighthouse and the three light keeper's cottages. The original lighthouse dated from 1736, but they built the current lighthouse in 1916. The lighthouse opens every day except Tuesdays from 9 am to 4:30 pm. The nearby Tybee Island Pier and Pavilion provide a scenic view, fishing, restaurants, and special events. The Tybee Post Theatre features movies and live entertainment. You can also visit Savannah, just 18 miles from Tybee Island, and enjoy the historical sites such as Forsyth Park and Juliet Gordon Low's home. Take one of the walking tours and enjoy learning about the history, cuisine, or haunted locations in Savannah. Savannah also offers shopping, dining, and nightlife. Annual events to enjoy in the area include the Georgia Days Celebration, Tybee Island polar plunge, the Tybee Island Mardi Gras Festival, the Seafood Festival, the Savannah Irish Festival, the Tybee Island Fourth of July Celebration, Tybee Island Labor Day Weekend Beach Bash, the Tybee Island Pirate Fest the Savannah Jazz Festival, the Savannah Harbor Boat Parade of Lights, Christmas tours of Savannah homes, and the Tybee Island New Year's Eve fireworks. Where to Stay The living room in Irie Oasis features a white fireplace between two windows. It offers two sofas, two chairs, and two hassocks. For entertainment, it provides a wide-screen television with cable or satellite, games, and Wi-Fi. You, your family, and your guests will find the living room a perfect gathering place. Behind the living room, the kitchen includes a breakfast bar with two stools, refrigerator-freezer, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, utensils, and cooking basics. An additional sink with cupboards and a wine rack beside the kitchen makes providing snacks easy. The table in the dining area seats six. The double windows provide plenty of natural light. While the double doors to the patio will allow breezes and cross-ventilation. Three of the bedrooms offer king-size beds. The fourth bedroom includes two twin bunk beds. The king-size bed in the master bedroom sits between two windows and two nightstands. A fan helps circulate air. A dresser and a wide-screen television are on the wall beside the bathroom door. The master bathroom includes a large tub, a walk-in shower, a double sink, a toilet, and a long mirror. The second bedroom offers a king-size bed between two nightstands along with a dresser and wide-screen television, and a large double window provides natural light. The third bedroom again places the king-size bed between two windows and two nightstands with a chest of drawers and a wide-screen television sit on the side wall. In the fourth bedroom, the bunk beds sit beside the windows. The bedroom includes a chest of drawers. In the bathroom, you will find towels, a hairdryer, and shampoo. The second full bathroom offers a walk-in shower, a sink with a vanity, a toilet, and a mirror. The first half-bathroom features a large oval pedestal sink, a toilet, and a mirror. The upstairs bathroom is a jack-n-jill with hallway access. On the exterior, the backyard provides a beautiful patio with ample lounge seating, a table and chairs, a grill, a heated plunge pool, a pergola with shade covering, and a privacy fence. The patio offers plenty of outdoor fun without leaving the house. A screened-in porch on the second floor includes an outside stairway. As an added bonus, a game room in the garage includes a pool table, foosball, dartboard, four chairs, a table with two stools, and an area to prepare snacks. As with other Tybee Vacation Homes, Irie Oasis includes a washer and dryer. Other amenities include heating, air conditioning, a smoke detector, a fire extinguisher, and parking for up to four cars. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitmarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island. The Pool is open during the below dates and times. March 1- Oct 31, Open 7 days a week from 10am-5pm November 1 - February 28, Open Friday and Saturday from 10am-5pm Additional Pool Hours available during the off-season are listed below.
