The space The Barrier Island House is a 4 bedroom & 4-bathroom villa with exterior corridors and amazing outdoor spaces for enjoying the seclusion and beauty of being on a Caribbean Island. The main house faces a stunning crystal-clear water lagoon, and only steps away on the other side of the house, are over 2 miles of white sand beach all facing the Atlantic Ocean. The House comes with all the amenities needed for a perfect Caribbean Island getaway, including over water swing, Kayak, Paddle Boards, Snorkel Gear, Hiking Trails and Day Beds and when you are not enjoying being in the water, you can dream the day away on our wonder 360’ viewing area known simply as the “upper deck”. Morning Coffee watching the Sun Rise or Evening Cocktails watching the Sun Set come with some amazing views of this beautiful destination. ▶ THE HOME AND THE DETAILS: While the views are something you will never forget, here are the details about this modern home that has been completely renovated in 2021 and has all the conveniences you would want for a perfect stay in Paradise. ⋅ 4 bed / 4 en-suite bath/ exterior corridors home with all of the linens and toiletries needed with direct access to the outdoors. ⋅ A new modern, fully equipped Kitchen, a Screen Porch and a large Barbecue outside of the Screen porch. Please note - kitchen/porch is separate with doors opening up to the outdoors. ⋅ Air Conditioning, WIFI, T.V. ⋅ Outdoor shower, Day Bed, Hammocks, Beach Chairs and even an over-water Swing. ⋅ Concierge Service to assist with all excursions, dinner reservations and on island needs. Besides the amazing views of Stocking Island, Exuma has 365 islands and cays (one for each day of the year) surrounded by the most stunning blue waters you have ever seen and crystal clear when you're wading or swimming in it. There are no roads, cars,bikes, or any other vehicles and parking is not needed. Boats are our favorites here, and you will get the chance to enjoy amazing views from the boat while traveling to Stocking Island. Other things to note The Barrier Island House is located on Stocking Island, which is 7 minute boat ride from George Town, the main town in Exuma. There are no roads to Stocking Island so the short, but beautiful boat ride is required. Exuma International Airport is 20 minute car ride outside of George Town, airport code GGT. GGT has direct jet connections from Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Toronto (CAN), and Nassau (BAH). The small airport makes it easy and quick to get in and out. From Atlanta - daily flights from on Delta. About 2 hours and 20 minutes. From Miami - multiple flights per week on American. About 1 hour. From Charlotte - multiple flights per week on American. About 2 hours and 20 minutes. From Ft. Lauderdale - multiple flights per week on Silver Airways (affiliated with United). About 1 hour. From Toronto - weekly flights on Air Canada About 3 hours and 30 minutes. From Nassau - multiple daily flights on BahamasAir and Western Air. Private Flight options are always available through various services. GGT is still the airport code for private aviation, and all private flights are managed by ODYSSEY Aviation, which has it's own private air terminal at GGT. Taxi Services are always available as well - the price per taxi is approx. $55. Boat Rental companies are located in George Town and they have a variety of small and mid-sized Boston Whaler style boats for rental. Please be aware that MINNS does not allow boat rental Overnight, so any rental boats will need to be returned to their dock each day. We have other companies that will rent a boat for you to keep at the house overnight. If you do rent a boat for the day and need an experienced Captain to drive you and your group to all the best locations, our Boat Captain can be hired upon request and availability to drive your boat for you, and show you around all the right spots. We do not suggest renting a car directly upon arrival, as you will not need one for the whole stay. We can certainly help arrange a rental for a day or two if you would like to explore the mainland during your stay. ▶ Let our on staff Concierge team help you plan the best trip. Once you book we will reach out to you and help you plan all your needs including Groceries & Drinks delivered at the house prior to arrival, Excursions, Massages, Private Chef, Boat Rentals and other needs for the perfect stay. ▶ During your stay: Our guests will be able to use the "on the hour" boat shuttle from the Peace and Plenty Resort, back to the mainland, which is available every hour until 7 PM. Boat Rental services are located in George Town and they have a variety of smaller sized boats. ▶ Concierge Grocery Shopping: It is always a great idea to arrive at Barrier Island House and have it freshly stocked with groceries and beverages. WE OFFER THIS OPTION TO YOU! In preparation for your stay, we will send you a checklist of items to fill out and then we can prepare this to be delivered prior to your arrival. Always a good idea to have your first planned dinner and following day's breakfast stocked and ready to go! If you do not plan to pre-order your groceries for the house, we are happy to take you directly to the Grocery & Liquor store before you arrive at the boat dock to Stocking Island.
