The hamlet of Chantelouve itself is tranquil and calm, set on the edge of the Ecrin National Park, the scenery is spectacular throughout the year. There are plenty of walks to be taken just by exiting the front door. For cyclists there are VTT trails running through the village and surrounding area and Boug D'Oisans, Les Deux Alpes & Alp D'Heuz are between 20 and 45 mins away (by car). Skiers and snowboarders can also enjoy the mega resorts of Les Deux Alpes & Alp D'Heuz in the winter plus our local and reasonably priced ski resort of Col D'Ornon, which is a couple of minuets away by car. In the summer there are many local lakes offering sailing, fishing, swimming etc, most with restaurants overlooking the water and fab local food. Getting Around There is no public transport in Chantelouve, to enjoy the area you really need a vehicle and snowchains or tyres are a must in the winter.
