This stylish and clean place to stay is available for short or longer stays and is 1 block to the commuter Metra train (healy station). It’s 30 minutes to Magnificent Mile. Located in a 3 flat building and on the first floor. There is no elevator. There is 1 queen bed and 1 full. Please note carefully the location, amenities and house rules before booking or inquiring. Parking is available at $10/night. There is no free street parking. The space Welcome: Located on the first floor in a typical Chicago style 3 unit building built in 1898. There is one unit above and one below. This space was recently updated and features modern finishes. There is a fully stocked kitchen with basic cooking items. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo, all recently remodeled. The unit is light and bright with many large windows that all have shades. The bedrooms are standard for Chicago and there is a queen and full bed with high quality mattresses and down filled pillows (all encased). I use high quality cotton sheets and towels. It is a quiet unit with very minimal foot traffic from above. However, as it is 124 years old, the hardwood floors squeak and creek so please know that going in. A coin operated washer and dryer is located outside the back door and down one flight. Bring your own supplies. Q: Are dogs allowed? A: Yes! I will allow 1 dog, a maximum of 40# if you declare it at the time of booking (click the pet box). There are other dogs on the property so there are additional house rules. The cost is a $25 night and depending on your dog, you may have to pay a refundable deposit or increased cleaning fee. Please do not come with your dog unless we have communicated and agreed upon it. Q: What about parking? There is parking in the back lot for $10/night x length of stay. You must notify me at the time of booking if you need parking. Parking is at your own risk and payable in cash left at the property. We can accommodate cars, motorcycles and small SUV’s. Q: Can I smoke/vape/smoke pot inside or outside anywhere on the property? A: Sorry, no smokers or smoking/vaping/pot smokers. The property, including outside, is 100% smoke free. Please note carefully the house rules regarding smoking. Q: What is the minimum age and the max. number of people? A: 25 y/o for all guests unless traveling with a parent or guardian. ID for all adults is required to be uploaded into your message thread so that i can verify ages. Q: Is the neighborhood quiet, safe and easily reachable by train/ subway? A: We are fortunate that this block is a dead-end street with minimal thru traffic. The neighbors can be lively and they do have dogs. Healy Metra (commuter train) is only 1 block away. It goes to the Union Station in 2 stops and about 15 minutes. The El Blue Line Logan Square stop is 1 mile away- 25 minute walk. Please make note before booking. Please note, this location is approximately a 40 min car ride to Millenium park, etc. It is not located down town. Q: What about heat and AC? A. It’s forced air and central AC and completely adjustable by you. Q: Do I get a key or codes? A: You will get instructions 3 days prior to your arrival with codes. We have security gates and locks on all doors. Q: Can I walk to bars, cafes and restaurants? A: Yes, there are many within walking distance: Brew brew, The Double, Park and Field, The Levee, Aquarius and more. Q: Can I get early check-in or late check-out? A: Yes, but only if you block the day prior or after for $99. We are nearly fully booked during summer. please assume this isn’t an option except during late fall and winter.
