You will immediately relax as you walk in the door, however you can also enjoy the hammock, four kayaks, bikes and fishing amenities. The town is simple and friendly with a newly opened pub to get to know the locals. The space Hertford is one hour from the Norfolk International Airport and Amtrak Edenton (historical town) and Elizabeth City (where USCG airbase and Elizabeth City State University is located) are only 20 minutes away. Nags Head beaches are only one hour away. Other things to note When using the kayaks, please make sure life vests are worn (provided in the chest on the front porch). Additional details regarding recreational activities are in the guest manual. The driveway is rather narrow, however, you can fit a midsize car or two smaller cars. There is ample parking directly across the street with a walkway to the house. I can also arrange parking in a parking lot 2 houses down if you have a larger vehicle
