Famous for its association with the Egyptologist Jean Francois Champollion, (who published the first translation of the Rosetta stone hieroglyphs in the 19th century) Figeac offers everything you need to experience a traditional French town. Very conveniently located for easy access to many tourist spots, activities and places of interest such as Rocamadour, Gouffre de Padirac, Cahors, and St Cirq-Lapopie and is an ideal base for visiting the Lot, Dordogne and Célé river valleys for a choice of many activities.
