The space Our entire home has been renovated with a blend of modern rustic relaxing comfort, special attention to the smallest details and 5-star luxurious amenities throughout. On the main floor (second floor), in the living room, enjoy a roaring fire in the unique circular fireplace (no burn zone area - May 1 - November 1) while gazing at the breathtaking lake views. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make memorable meals. Off the kitchen you will find a half bath, a dining area that easily seats 6, a sunken living room with a 40" TV or just look out at the splendor of Lake Tahoe through floor-to-ceiling cathedral windows. The 1500SF house has two levels - the main living area with kitchen, dining room, powder room, sunken step-down living room and adjoining master bedroom with full bath: and the lower level with two bedrooms with a full bathroom and laundry area. We do have an assortment of mini soaps and shampoos (hotel style) located in the master bathroom sink drawer that you are welcome to use. We do provide liquid hand soap in all bathrooms and liquid dish soap. Our wonderful home is located prestigious Fulton Acres, Carnelian Bay, which is located between Kings Beach and Tahoe City on the north shore of Lake Tahoe (Dollar Hill / Ridgewood area). A wonderful location for families because this home is located at the end of a street where there is no traffic, so children can safely play outside the house. Our home is located on a ridge about 600ft above Lake Tahoe (7,000 feet elevation) and there is no direct lake access. Enjoy all of Lake Tahoe's many outdoor activities within minutes. The cabin is in the heart of North Tahoe just 1/4 mile from the lake (can be walked to but not recommended) and 15 +/- miles from world class skiing (Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, North Star, Incline, Diamond Peak, Homewood, and others). It is also close to a wide variety of indoor activities being located within a 15-minute drive to casinos and 25-minute drive to Truckee, and 5 minutes from Tahoe City and one hour drive to Reno. *** An IMPORTANT note on Pets: NO pets are allowed IN OR AROUND our home at any time UNLESS PRE-APPROVED by Host. We allow a maximum of one "house trained" dog, maximum 50lb. If a dog is approved as a guest, there is a $125 non-refundable deposit that will be retained. Pets are NOT ALLOWED on the furniture or beds, no exception even with approval. Excessive amounts of pet hair will result in a extra cleaning fee, no exceptions. If a pet is PRE-APPROVED, the guest agrees that they are NOT to be left alone in the house under any circumstances unless they are kenneled/crated. Our property manager will verify that a crate is brought to our home for the doggy guest. For guests with pet allergies please note the owners and guests do bring their dogs inside of our home therefore there is dog hair, dog dander etc. that we do our best to clean but it’s impossible to remove 100%. Our house was home is NOT recommended for people with pet allergies or do not like homes with pets. All reservations require a minimum of 2 night stay unless otherwise noted. Guest access Our Property Manager will meet you at the property to provide you with the key, check ID's and get you all settled in for a wonderful vacation. If our property manager is not available to meet you, you will be provided with a link to a smartphone app which will give you access without a key Other things to note ***We require a minimum age of 25 years old for the primary guest placing the reservation and to have at least one positive Airbnb review. ID’s will be checked by property manager at check in. Front Door Bear Deterrent - There is an elastic bungee cord based electric bear fence over the front door. Please turn off the power supply on the green control box to the left of the front door by sliding the switch to "off" then remove the bungee cords. Please put the bungee cords back on when leaving - one bungee cord per hook and NO CROSSING of the cords please (possible electrocution may occur) - slide the power supply back to "on" and the green light will come on letting you know that the bear deterrent fence is now armed. Recent Placer County short term rental regulations include the following - - Wood burning fireplaces - we do not provide firewood and use of the fireplace is at your own risk - Wood burning fire pits are not allowed to be used ****** NO EARLY OR LATE CHECKOUTS****** To comply with CDC guidelines, we are following the Airbnb enhanced cleaning protocol which requires sanitization steps including spraying surface areas and allowing air to dry a minimum of 8 - 12 hours before the house is reset for the next guest. To allow enough time, we must be strict on our 10am check out and 4pm check-in times, unless given permission by the host. Your safety and cleanliness of our home is a top concern of us and our guests today. We are committed to the CDC cleaning protocol and appreciate your understanding that we must take extra steps to make your stay as pleasurable and safe as possible.
