Your Grandma’s mountain house in the heart of the Chouf … Beit El Qamar sits on a hill above Deir el Qamar, Lebanon’s old capital, adorned with Emir palaces and a unique old residential quarter. Beit El Qamar is surrounded by vegetable gardens and colorful terraces…Old botanical plates adorn the walls and most of the furniture is wrapped in floral print. The space Beit El Qamar boasts seven double bedrooms and a suite. Savour Lebanese breakfast in room or at Tawlet Beit El Qamar, also welcoming you for a daily traditional home-cooked buffet, coffee and refreshments. Learn Fatteh making and stuffed vine leaves rolling among others with our bespoke cooking classes booked upon request. Room 2 is located on the first floor with two twin beds pushed together (100 x 200 cm), a bathroom with a bathtub, and a balcony that looks onto the vegetable garden and the Chouf Mountains. Guest access The garden floor at Beit El Qamar is where the action happens! Food is made and eaten in that area. You can watch the cooks at Beit El Qamar prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner in the large, open kitchen. Beside the kitchen is a cosy indoor dining area that looks onto the garden terrace. You can eat under the shade of the trees, have a drink on the Stayhha (Rooftop in Arabic) that overlooks on Beiteddine, or just relax in a lounge chair or on a beanbag! Beit El Qamar is divided into two floors. The first floor of the house has a spacious and communal living area where you can gather around the Sobia, or along the Pink table, or maybe just sink in the plush cushions of the projection room! All our balconies overlook on to the mountains, the Damour valley and Beiteddine.
