(Please note that the staircase is quite steep and narrow, so not suitable for guests with limited mobility). The two covered terraces have tables and chairs for out door dining, and there is a Weber BBQ in the lower terrace. The 8m x 4m pool with surrounding paving is enclosed by stone walls to provide complete privacy, with loungers and parasol. There is approximately 2 acres of garden surrounding the property, and gravel parking. Within view of the Céle River, known for trout and perch fishing, it is also easily accessible for a number of river side activities including kayaking and canoeing, or just peaceful picnics. Just 5 minutes’ walk down the lane to the popular ‘La Belle Époque’ restaurant and conveniently close, to the beautiful medieval town of Figeac, with its bustling Saturday market and delightful shops and restaurants. Famous for its association with the Egyptologist Jean Francois Champollion, (who published the first translation of the Rosetta stone hieroglyphs in the 19th century) Figeac offers everything you need to experience a traditional French town. Very conveniently located for easy access to many tourist spots, activities and places of interest such as Rocamadour, Gouffre de Padirac, Cahors, and St Cirq-Lapopie and is an ideal base for visiting the Lot, Dordogne and Célé river valleys for a choice of many activities. We operate a Saturday check in (4pm onwards) and Saturday check out (before 10am) because our team changing linen, cleaning, pool and garden maintenance are contracted to this date and provide the best service.
