This farmhouse has been in our family since 1930. John's grandfather farmed the land for many years & my mother-in-law was born in this house; it holds many special memories for us. Having lived & worked in Japan for over 40 years, we would like to welcome guests from all backgrounds & nationalities. We encourage families &/or groups to book together. The space Grandma's Guest House is surrounded by 200 acres of beautiful farm land, pastures and three ponds. We are conveniently located 1.5miles off the Seward/Fairbury exit from I 80, only 25 minutes to the Nebraska Huskers Stadiums and 3.5 miles to Concordia University. Guest access Besides four large bedrooms, guests have access to the fully functioning kitchen, game room and large comfortable living room. Outside there is plenty of open grassy spaces to set up games of all sorts. We have an assortment of balls and a croquet set to help things along. There is also an area that can be set up for picnics and gatherings. Other things to note Since this is a working farm, in a typical week our activities may include pasture care, horse training and/or lessons, and harvesting crops. None of these should impact your stay in or around the Guest House.
