The pueblo of Macario Gomez, where LSM is located, is a 20 minute drive from Tulum but feels like it's a world away. Quiet and peaceful, Macario is still a traditional Mayan village where people make their living through traditional handicrafts, farming, beekeeping, and furniture making. We encourage all of our guests to check out everything this little town has to offer. Best of all, it's just at the end of our little road, so you can explore all of it on foot or by bike. We are 20 minutes from Tulum, on the road to the Cobá ruins. There are plenty of taxis and collective vans that pass by the end of our road.
