Beckwith house cottage is 200 years old and has been totally renovated to the highest standard providing modern and well equipped accommodation which is ideal for family’s or groups of friends A stay at this cottage can be as relaxing or as busy as you would like it to be , as it is situated in a quiet rural location but only 2.5 miles away from the spa town of Harrogate . With its famous tea rooms and Turkish Baths Harrogate is an excellent choice for an enjoyable day trip The space There are 3 spacious double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with 1 en-suite .A large comfortable living room with a well equipped kitchen and utility room . The dining room seats 6 guests . At the rear of the cottage you will find a scenic country garden with bbq area and comfortable garden furniture . BHC Wildlife and Woodlands If you wander to the field on the left -hand side of the front door, you will see our wildlife pond is work in progress. It will have a duck house in the middle of the pond, a bug house, plus hundreds of wildflowers. However, please feel free to take a look and we welcome and ideas and suggestions you may have. PLEASE ensure children are NEVER left unattended near the pond. You can also access the woodlands from the back of the cottage. However, there is a public footpath that runs around the edge of the woods which starts on the left hand side next to the black entrance gates. DEER If you are lucky you will get to see our Deer, we cannot tell you how many we have as the numbers are increasing rapidly. RED KITES These large birds of prey are a dream to watch in action, we currently have at least one nest in the tree behind the cottage. PHEASANTS & GROUSE You will see many of these birds wondering around the garden, often pecking at plants they shouldn’t be! So please be careful when coming down the drive. BADGERS We have a very dosile badger whom for some reason often likes to accompany visitors down the drive late at night! If you are returning at night please be very careful as the Beckwith Badger will often walk all the way down the drive in front of our vehicle. We also have lots of other wildlife, and occasionally Daisy and Dolly the sheep wander into the field, which we are very privileged to see. PLEASE do not disturb any of the animals, they will never hurt you if left alone. Facilities • There is an iron in the utility room, under the sink, and an ironing board in the cupboard under the stairs. • A washing machine and tumble dryer are available for use. • All rooms have a hairdryer, in the master bedroom it is located next to the bed on the right hand side wall. In the other rooms it is in the wardrobe. • Sky TV and Broadband are available. • BBQ – this is located in the storage cupboard on the left towards the bottom of the garden, near the seating area. • External cushions are also located in the storage cupboard as above. • Leaflets on local attractions are located in the utility room. Guest access Please can you stay on the cottage side of the grounds as Beckwith house is occupied .
