The space An “Oasis in Paradise”, this 100 year old Cunucu Residence, which was recently modernized, is a cozy haven located in a quiet prestigious residential neighbourhood 2 minutes from the beach. Close enough to the beaches, restaurants and shopping, yet far enough away to feel relaxed and taste our peaceful island atmosphere. The Cunucu Residence consists of 4 one-bedroom apartments, 1 two-bedroom and 1 studio apartment. Each 1 bedroom has its own unique configuration and vary in size from 510 sq.ft. to 655 sq.ft. The exceptionally large Studio is 500 sq.ft. and the 2 bedroom is 800 sq.ft. Each fully air-conditioned apartment features a private bathroom, modern kitchen, spacious living areas, with all apartments leading out to your private patio and our private swimming pool for our guests. The Cunucu Residence is just minutes away from Aruba’s premier golf course, Tierre del Sol, and a short drive to Palm Beach or Eagle Beach, which has windsurfing and snorkeling areas. If you enjoy local shopping, you can venture downtown to the famous shopping district in Oranjestaad, where you will find a world-class selection of merchandise within the scores of stores located in several malls. Just returned from a week away with girlfriends. The property is very well maintained. John and Eleanor (owners) went above and beyond to make sure we were confortable and had everything we needed. Henk (property manager) and Gloria were also very attentive. If we desired they would have arranged car rental, excursions etc. We prearranged to have some drinks/groceries to be in unit upon our arrival. No problems with Wifi. A cell phone was provided for local calls (excellent idea)! We all enjoyed the tranquility of the location. The infinity pool was just steps outside our back door. Taxi to high rise area (hotels and beach) is only $6us. No need for us to rent a car. We made a deal with our regular taxi driver for a tour. We had a great time and would return to the Cunucu Residence again. Burlington Gals, Burlington said…. Four ladies left the cold weather behind and couldn’t have asked for better weather in aruba. This was our first visit to Cunacu Residence. We loved it. Peaceful relaxing and clean. I’m very happy the owners were there. John and Eleanor are so helpful and made our vacation. Introducing us to the best places to visit. If you take a cab around, I suggest asking for Roy and his lovely wife. I recommend a car to go to the beach or see the sights. Great location b/w palm beach and arashi beach- but not on beach road. With a car, everything is very close. Room was very comfortable and spacious. Only complaint is that the sheets were worst quality and not enough linens provided for pull out sofa bed. Full fridge was great for breakfast and lunch supplies – for a beach picnic- and to keep our Chill beer cold. Best infinity pool is literally 7 steps from your door- all rooms share . Each room has little private area , in front of pool, for nightcap or coffee time . Brilliant area , at pool, to talk with neighbors and if you’re lucky- the owners. Alexandra will be there for anything you need- she’s so friendly and helpful. Wifi only works in front of property and parking is provided . Grocery store few blocks away. Writing this review makes me miss this place- I will def be back!!! Gay and Rick said… Just returned home from a month at Cunucu Residence. This is the perfect location … close to beaches … Arashi and Boca Catalina for snorkeling. Eagle Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean not over crowded and a short 10 minute drive. Palm Beach is less than 5 minutes and has plenty of Restaurants and Casinos for entertainment. The island is easy to get around by car and driving is very orderly. The best part of Cunucu is it’s truly an oasis away from the hotel scene. The pool is breathtaking and a serene quiet retreat any time of the day. Apartments were clean and fresh towels and linens provided regularly. Our hosts were very friendly and provided us with plenty of information on the island everything from groceries to tours or restaurant suggestions. Beach chairs were a must for the beaches with all the windy days and these were available at a nominal fee. This location is a great value for this island and not to be missed! Rent a car and you can safely go wherever, whenever you want. After doing whatever you want to do all day, (sightseeing, shopping, beach hoping or just for a walk), come back for a nice swim before making plans for the evening. Owners, John & Eleanor as well as Managers, Henk & Alexandra (Kristopher) are kind and caring and have a wealth of knowledge to pass on to you to make your vacation truly memorable. We have already recommended the Cunucu Residence to many people and a couple of our friends will be going there in March. We are already in the process of booking our next vacation there in May, looking forward to another great vacation. Make sure to drink plenty of the tap water, (refrigerated) it is the best tasting water we have ever drank.
