The space Our house is in a beautiful private setting on a large lot across the street from the lake. All hardwood floors, modern kitchen with all cooking amenities, and an open floor plan (living/dining/kitchen) with loft for the common space. Sleeping privacy for 6. Downstairs bedroom with queen bed and bathroom with wide walk in shower. Upstairs has an open loft with couch, bedroom with twin beds, one with a queen bed and a bathroom with tub and shower. Basement has ping pong and foosball tables. Large front deck facing the lake is 9' x 30', with a covered side porch 8' x 34'. Enjoy our large front yard for badminton and other outdoor games. Guest access Guests enjoy the whole house and access to the lake. Other things to note The house is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area, with hiking, leaf peeping, skiing, snowmobiling, kayaking, swimming and fishing. We have ping pong and foosball in the basement. Bring your weekend fun to a new level with rental of an evening Pontoon Boat ride or water ski lesson from our neighbor, an experienced professional instructor. At night, as you stargaze on the deck or sit around the fire, you will appreciate the brilliance of the stars with no light pollution! In season you'll hear the plaintive night call of the loons on the lake, and you may catch a glimpse of a wildlife near the house or a bald eagle soaring above the lake. In season, 3 kayaks are provided. A fire pit and gas grill are in the yard. Bordering our home is the beautiful Birch Ridge Community Forest, with over 2000 acres of conservation land including hiking and Snowmobile trails. In winter, skiing, snow tubing, cross country skiing and snowshoeing are available at Gunstock Ski Resort (19 miles) and King Pine (39 miles). Wolfeboro (14 miles-the oldest summer resort town in America) is a quaint village on Lake Winnipesaukee, offering three museums (NH Boat Museum, Wright Museum of WWII and Libby Museum of Natural History), art galleries, shops, casual and fine dining, and a rails to trails hiking path/cross country ski trail. Mount Major offers a great easy or moderate hike with breathtaking views of Lake Winnipesaukee (only 12 miles/23 minutes away). Tax free shopping at major name brand factory outlet stores is found in Tilton NH (30 miles/ 50 minutes) via scenic secondary roads that meander through small towns along the way. For kids, the Children's Museum of NH is 45 minutes away in Dover, and is a fun family experience. Apologies, but no animals are allowed due to a family member with severe allergies. Guest acknowledges that water activities (swimming, canoeing, kayaking etc) involve the risk of bodily injury. These risks and dangers may be caused by the actions or inactions of the guest or others involved in said activities. Guest accepts and assumes all risks and full responsibility for any injuries or damage that may occur to the Guest or others as a result of the Guest's participation in any water activities. Owner shall not be liable for injury or damage to the Guest, or any other person or any minor children under the Guests' care and control, pertaining to any and all activities at the house or in participation of water activities on or near the property. Guest hereby indemnifies, releases, and discharges the Owner from and against any and all liability, clients, judgments, causes of action, suits, injuries, losses, damages, claims or demands, attorney fees or costs, and any other obligations arising out of or associated with the Tenant or Tenant's guests or children on the property or in participation in water activities on or near the property.
