The space This beautiful modern house was designed and built by a Czech glass artist and his wife as their artist studio, who transformed this art studio and many other properties into beautiful, charming homes. They designed the house and created almost everything, from the art on the walls to the furniture and the landscaped garden. There are many outdoor spaces to relax, including a beautiful sun terrace and a private patio. The property features a flexible open-plan living space, a bedroom with an orthopedic king-size mattress, and a separate entrance to the wooden deck. The bedroom opens onto the living space through a large "barn" sliding door. The living room is between the well-equipped gourmet kitchen and the bedroom. It is furnished with one queen-size bed, comfortable sofa, and hammock and can be used as a second bedroom. The home comfortably accommodates 2-4 people. If you are a more prominent family, we have three additional rooms for rent on the same property. We are also open to hosting special occasions or events. Each room has access to the wooden deck overlooking the lake and volcanoes. The large sliding doors between the rooms create a loft-like space of 1506.82 square feet (148 m2), or the barn doors can be closed for privacy. The house is conveniently located within a private garden and just 100m /328 feet from the lakeshore in a quiet and safe setting. It is a 20-minute walk or 10-minute tuk-tuk ride to the village of San Marcos and has its dock from which you can catch a public boat every 20 minutes ( take 7 min by boat to San Marcos or 35 to Panajachel ). Restaurants and shops are within an easy walk, short tuk-tuk, or boat ride. We don't spray chemicals, and you are located in raw nature; some harmless spiders or black scorpions can sometimes be seen. We have supported and run our non-profit organization for 20 years, supporting education, nutrition, and art in San Juan La Laguna. If you are interested in volunteering or supporting the Indigenous community, we would love to have you join us. With beach access just steps away, you'll have the opportunity to embrace the lakeside experience fully. Private Transportation: We are happy to help you reserve a private car for $170/Q1300, paid directly to the drivers, for a one-way trip arriving at Panajachel, followed by a private ride for Q300 per boat. Breakfast: Breakfast must be booked in advance at a price of Q200/$25 USD per person. Alternatively, you can travel to town for breakfast. All breakfasts will be served on the beach with prior reservation. Property Access: Our property is accessible via the main gate on the road, which requires a key you will receive upon check-in. As you know, check-in via the road is only available if previously arranged; otherwise, check-in is via the lakefront. Guests can arrive by private or public boat, which can be flagged down at our private dock. Facilities: Guests have access to our entire garden (except for the private part of the pink house) and private dock, which includes a shaded sitting area, sunbathing area, swimming area, and sauna. Free Wi-Fi and a kayak, paddleboard, and heliport are available. Amenities: Endless drinking water, coffee, and tea are provided. Your room has a small fridge with alcohol for purchase; we can offer you a small selection of natural wines and mineral water. We don’t operate as a daily restaurant but instead open our doors for these special gatherings or during our signature event nights, welcoming our guests and the public to indulge in our exceptional dining experience. -We are happy to help you reserve a private boat or a car or helicopter ( 35 min. from the airport) that will arrive directly at the property  -Breakfasts must be booked a day in advance.
