The space The property is a gated community with just 6 rentals and an on site shared laundry facility, each unit has it's own back balcony with chairs and access to the 1st floor shared guest patio that features a grill, couch and chairs, bluetooth speaker, gourmet grill, lighting and fan, yoga mats - a great place to relax! Each self catering unit is set up with your comfort and usability in mind! The kitchen is fully outfitted to cook a 4 course meal if you like, TV's with streaming stick hook up in both the living and bedroom, and endless hot showers with an on demand hot water heater! In the bedroom you will find ample closet space and an imported King sized Serta mattress, extra pillows, and access to the back balcony that has a screen door for those days when you prefer a breeze to the air conditioner that's located in the bedroom for maximum sleeping comfort! Guest access Along with their own private villa located in our gated property, guests can also enjoy our 1st floor patio where we have a speaker for music, couch and chairs to lounge in, lighting and fan for a comfortable atmosphere. There is also a BBQ grill and yoga mats available to all our guests to use! I live on property, so I am close in case you need something, but give you your privacy to enjoy your time on the island as you like. Having been to a new foreign country before and knowing NOBODY - I know how scary (but exciting) the unknown can be! Staying with me is like staying with a friend; I care about your well being, notice if I don't see you in a while, and am only a phone call away if you need help or have a question -anytime, day or night! Other things to note To reach the island, you will need to take a puddle jumper plane or a water taxi over to the island from the international airport in Belize City. I am happy to arrange for transportation to/from the water taxi in Belize City (standard fare is $30USD+small tip 1-4 people). Once you are here on the island, I can also arrange a cab to bring you to the property from the water taxi terminal or the airport (standard fare is $5USD+small tip). My preferred cab drivers will meet you, assist with luggage, show you a bit of the town on the way to the property and knows exactly where to bring you. If I am able to come get you, I will do that so long as everyone and luggage will fit in my 4 seater golf cart! It gives me the opportunity to visit with you and show you my favorite spots on the way to your island home! Extra expenditures you need to be aware of: For those staying longer than 30 days, you will need to renew your passport stamp. There is an office on the island to complete this and the cost is $200BZD (must be paid in BZD and not USD). NOT INCLUDED: - Housekeeping and linen washing (Housekeeping can be requested and done for a fee of $30USD, paid laundry services are available close by if you prefer) - Electricity usage over $125usd per month of stay dates - 5 Gallon Jugs of Bottled water (first filled jug is in the unit upon check in, a fresh jug can be requested to be delivered to your unit for $5usd each or you can replenish yourself; but there must be at least an empty jug in the unit upon check out) - Refills of TP/Paper towels/Dish soap/hand soap/Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash/Salt/Pepper (all are provided to get you started at the beginning of your stay, but are not replenished) - Cable is not included, but TV's are set to accept streaming sticks such as Amazon Firesticks/Roku, etc
