After the pandemic, we started hosting digital nomads—and we loved it! So, we decided to adapt all our spaces for remote work and long stays. We've learned a lot from our guests, and I believe we've created an amazing place to work. REMOTE WORK We've implemented a mesh network with three internet providers: two symmetric fiber-optic providers and one satellite provider (Starlink), reaching speeds up to 400 MB. All our routers are backed by batteries, ensuring a stable connection and uninterrupted video calls. Only WiFi signal in this room. LOCATION We’re in Playa Carmen, Santa Teresa South, just a 2-minute walk from the beach—ideal for beginner and intermediate surfers. If you're more advanced, the best spot is La Lora in Santa Teresa North, which is 2 km away or a 20-minute walk. Keep this in mind before booking. Our location is also perfect for exploring the town on foot. The most popular bars, supermarkets, gyms, and coworking spaces are all nearby. From what I’ve seen, many of our guests surf in the morning, work during the day, and end their day watching the sunset on the beach. You can create your own rhythm. PROPERTY DETAILS Our property is enclosed and features a lovely garden with shared work tables and hammocks, where you can meet other travelers. The apartment is set up for comfortable long stays with its own kitchen, private bathroom, and shared laundry facilities. It has one bedroom with a queen bed (2m x 1.5m), a work area with a comfortable chair for long hours, and an extra monitor. Guest access - Cleaning in the rooms twice a week - Hours from 7AM to 5PM. Availability for emergencies and important situations. - Parking is safe and easily accessible. 4x4 is not needed - Free to use, shared laundry machine - Purified water filter Other things to note POWER OUTAGES Short blackouts are common in the Pueblo of Santa Teresa and are not a problem for the internet thanks to the batteries. However, longer outages, of some hours could occur, especially in the rainy season. This can also cause problems with the water supply.
