The space Historical Review: The house is located on land that by 1850 belonged to the Circus of the Races, the first racetrack of the city. in 1886 due to the decrease of the activity the Municipality of Belgrano ordered the division and lottery of the property. In 1910 the construction of the house began by Dr. Manet, a railroad official called Poblador at that time. Manet in 1912 returns to France selling the property to the Mc family. Edgardo Rodríguez, who remodeled the property and through a family project with his sons Dagoberto and Solange transformed it into a cultural center called Palacio de las Artes. In 2001, when the basement was enlarged, a cistern was discovered. Archaeologists from the UBA inferred that it belonged to a post belonging to Juan Manuel de Rosas. The building has a museum of the site with all the objects extracted from the ground of the cistern. By decision of the Rodríguez family, the building has a precautionary protection level "Historical Building". The house remained open to the public for 23 years , hosting endless art exhibitions, cultural gatherings, gastronomy, and a wide variety of projects linked to art and design.
