Do you like adventure and camping? You will love this piece of heaven! Here you can enjoy nature, sleep on a hammoc or in a tent and cook your food on a wood grill. I highly recomend you hike the active Pacaya volcano just 15 minutes away. You can ride a Tuk Tuk from the farm. The views are breathtaking and you even get to roast your marshmallows over red lava. So get all your camping gear and come enjoy! The space Mission Pacaya is an 8 acre farm. Located just 5 miles from the Pacaya volcano (35 km. from Guatemala City) Currently, it is a coffee plantation with a beautiful avocado orchard. We harvest rain water and have eco-dry toilets. We are working to make this place a Permaculture farm that can serve and grow with the community. There are several farm animals as well! donkeys, pigs, chickens, sheep and a cow. Most animals roam free on the property! Guest access You are free to camp where ever you like on the 8 acres of land. The farm has fresh cold water for showers and 2 composting toilets. You are welcome to use the wood working grill. If you need a hammock or tent to camp out, please let me know. There is plenty of firewood for bonfires. Other things to note Temperatures can drop quite a bit during the night. Please check the forecast and bring what you need to keep warm. Make sure you have a good flashlight. We do have a small solar powered outlet, where you can charge your cel phone. There are small restaurants and stores to buy food in the San Vicente Pacaya town, just 1 km away.
