Les Ballades is a former outbuilding of Mas La Bastide des Lavandières, completely independent but enjoying access to the swimming pool. The spacious house is built over 2 floors and the upper floor living room/kitchen is air-conditioned. Very pleasant for summer afternoons! Located in a small countryside village in Gard, at the foot of the Cévennes and just an hour from the sea, Les Ballades will be the perfect HQ to discover our beautiful region. Les Ballades is an elegant and spacious 120m2 holiday home renovated in accordance with the traditional Provençal style, notably with its exposed beams and vaulted ceilings, with all modern comforts. It is spread over 2 floors with a very large air-conditioned living/kitchen/dining room on the first floor. The kitchen area opens onto a private balcony with excellent views over the village, swimming pool, vineyards and the Cevennes. It's the perfect place for a late dinner watching the sun set behind the mountain. On the ground floor there are 2 large bedrooms with plenty of storage space. The large bedroom equipped with a double bed and a single bed benefits from its private bathroom and opens onto a small private, shaded garden (with BBQ). The second bedroom has a double bed with bathroom and WC next door. Safety stair gates are available for small children as well as a baby cot on request. The accommodation is at the entire disposal of travelers. The swimming pool at Mas La Bastide des Lavandières, shared with other residents, is freely accessible. Canaules is a small French village full of charm whose main activity is the cultivation of vines. It's an excellent starting point for exploring the Cévennes and the charming little towns around it if you can manage to leave the sparkling water of the Mas de la Bastide swimming pool. 50m from the Mas, opposite the town hall, the village café welcomes you for lunch or dinner and for essential shopping. The medieval town of Anduze with its restaurants, small shops, activities for adults and children is very close. The famous Bambouseraie is accessible in 15 minutes by car and why not get there by the famous Cévennes steam train? It starts from Anduze and stops at the bamboo grove and St Jean du Gard, made famous by Stevenson's path. Visit the Pont du Gard (30 mins), the Roman city of Nîmes (30 mins) with its many Roman monuments, including the best preserved Arena in the world. Also discover the prehistoric caves of Trabuc, the medieval castle of Tornac or the mining town of Alès. Gastronomy lovers will delight in the region's many wine estates and will be able to take part in tasting sessions at Costières de Nîmes, Pic Saint Loup, wines from the Duchy of Uzès or the famous Clairette de Bellegarde. Golfers will find what they are looking for on the courses of Nîmes Vaquerolles, Uzès, or Ribaute-les-Tavernes, all less than 30 minutes' drive away.
