There is a rich collection of historical gems that make the village worth visiting, including the best preserved abbey in the Shannon region. Adjacent to Quin Abbey is the 13th century gothic style church, where visitors can climb the spiral stairs and revisit how the monks lived while taking in the panoramic views the open countryside. Just six miles away lies County Clare’s principle town, Ennis, which is home to a market square and narrow streets lined with quirky shops, bars and restaurants.
