Town: In County Mayo, Foxford is a charming town located on the River Moy. There are several historic pubs, restaurants, and stores in Foxford, which is well recognised as a tourist destination. The hamlet, which is tucked between the Ox and Nephin Mountains, offers a variety of outdoor pursuits, including hiking, mountain biking, and fishing. The 53-mile Foxford Way trail passes by bogs, river banks, historical monuments, and the Ox Mountains. The River Moy provides some of Ireland's best salmon fishing options for anglers, while the surrounding Loughs Conn and Cullin offer opportunities for brown trout fishing. Foxford is in a prime location for travelling along the Wild Atlantic Way. You may go west to Erris and see its stunning, rugged coastline, or you can go east to Enniscrone and other Sligo villages.
