Tranquility Orchards and Wine Tours: Campsite 8
Reconnect with nature and escape the heat on our 28 acre filbert orchard, better known as hazelnuts. On hot summer days you’ll find the temperature under the orchard canopy almost 10 degrees cooler at the heat of the day. Feel free to roam the orchard, play a little hide and seek, hang up a hammock, or bring a blanket and picnic. Within walking or bicycle distance are fantastic amenities. Here to visit wine country? A local wine tour company offers pickup at our site: The Good Vibes Tour The space Welcome campers! This site is perfect for tenting, campervans, and small RVs (30ft total length enough for 1 RV or 2 passenger vehicles). You will have a designated parking space between a row of Hazelnut Trees. From here you have the choice to camp, near or in your vehicle, or range through the orchard to find your perfect tent site. Located at the end of our driveway you'll find carts to carry your gear, a few firepits (Nov-June), wash station, new flushing toilets, outdoor shower, and hammocks to enjoy during your stay. Sites 1-3 are directly in front of our RV spots. These are the best spots for tent campers looking to camp in the orchard. Sites 4-9 are great for campervans and vehicle campers... and tents. All of these sites are acceptable for tents, RVs and vehicles. Check out The Good Vibes Tour for winery, distillery and brewery tours. Their Bed and Breakfast Experience offers pickup at our property and you can use code 'Camp' for a 30% discount. We have a few firepits available to move to your camp if returned at the end of your stay. Bring your own firewood or buy a wheelbarrow load from us. From roughly July 1st until the fall rains, we have a burn ban in effect and these firepits are no longer available. Propane stoves and propane fire pits are always allowed. Canopies and shade covers are welcome. NO FIRES ARE ALLOWED WITHOUT A CONTAINED PIT. We are located next to an airport that is active sometimes until 10pm. I don't notice the noise and I enjoy seeing some of the unique aircraft. We are about 1 mile from train tracks so you might hear a distant train horn. If you are a lite sleeper or have trouble returning to sleep, some of our guests have mentioned ear plugs. We also have an amazing choir of crickets. Please note that from September 1st through October, hazelnuts will be falling to the orchard floor. Campers and gear are only allowed next to their vehicle during this time so as not to damage this year's crop. After harvest, the full orchard is open again! If you are a larger group and think you might be up late and possibly loud, please message me that you would like a private area where you can celebrate. We have room for larger groups but want to be sure you enjoy your stay and that our other guests enjoy their time in our peaceful paradise. If this unique and rustic experience gives you hesitation, this may not be the adventure for you. If you accidentally blurted out hell yah, grab a site and enjoy this place we call home. Guest access As you enter our driveway, your designated parking space will be shown by metal site sign on the right at the base of a tree. Park between the trees next to your site sign. The orchard on the left, as you enter, is s Sniff Spot dog park and is off limits. If you need a private place to run your dog, this is available for rent on their website. Feel free to explore the orchard, come say hi to the horses/goats and make yourself at home. Note that from September 1st-October 15th the filberts are falling from the trees. This can be fun to sit, do yoga, grab a drink and listen to the soothing sound of nuts hitting the ground. During this time, we ask that you pitch your tent next to your parked vehicle and refrain from walking the interior of the orchard until we are finished with Harvest. The rest of the year you are encouraged to set up camp and voyage throughout the orchard. If you come to a gravel road/driveway, the orchard on the other side is someone else’s property. Other things to note A quick note that there are dogs near the farmhouse and they bark at strangers so we are happy to introduce you. Please leave your pets at camp or at your vehicle when using the toilet or exploring toward the farm houses or barn. Please pick up after your dogs to avoid other unhappy campers and minimize the processing four our hazelnut harvest. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask.
