Welcome to the heart of Southie, your urban oasis in South Boston! Our rustic 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment is your home away from home, where comfort meets style. Located in the vibrant heart of Southie, you'll be immersed in the local charm of this historic neighborhood. The space You will have the entire 1 bed/1bath apartment to yourself. The unit is on the second floor, and you will access it via a lock box at the front door followed by one flight of stairs. The stairs are narrow (30 inches across) and there is a railing. The space features a sunny living room with a private office, a fully stocked and cook ready kitchen, a queen bed in the bedroom with a private bathroom, and 2 separate outdoor patios. The living room has a brand new 55" Sony Smart TV with built in Chromecast and Netflix ready to go (many other apps are available as long as you have an account). There is a private office with an ergonomic chair and desk, a small dining table with 2 chairs, and a walk-out patio. Note that the living room couch is not a pull out sofa. The kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils including pots, pans, dishes, glasses, silverware, cutting boards, knives, etc. There is a microwave, stove/oven, toaster oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher. There is a coffee maker with regular and decaf, an assortment of teas, sugar/sweetener/honey, and a hot water kettle. The bedroom has a brand new queen bed, blackout shades, a private patio, and attached full bathroom. There are extra linens (sheets and towels) in the closet, including beach towels. AC and Heat: There are 2 mini-splits (1 in the living room, 1 in the bedroom) for air conditioning. which are controlled with the same remote. There is baseboard heat in the living room and bedroom controlled with a dial on the wall in each room. Guest access You will have access to the entire apartment - there are no shared spaces other than the stairs walking up to the unit. Other things to note Parking: There is 1 small parking space available on the back side of the building on K street. Note that this parking spot is very tight, so if you need to unload luggage, it will be easier to do so before parking. You can double park on the side of the restaurant Moko, unload luggage, and then pull into the spot (this is the easiest way). There is limited street parking available. Southie is notoriously difficult for guest street parking - if you are parking on the street, be aware of the resident only/street cleaning signs and times. Getting around: - The 7, 9, 10, and 11 buses all have stops within a couple of blocks from the apartment. All of these buses go into the city with different routes. - 1.2 miles from the Red Line T stop - 2 miles from South Station - 1 mile from the Seaport convention center - 10 minute drive to Boston Logan airport - 20 minute walk to Seaport - 15 minute walk to Castle Island and the beach Entrance: The entrance has one flight of stairs to walk up to the unit with a handrail. Note that the stairs are fairly narrow with a width of 30 inches. There are motion sensor wall mounted lights that will turn on as soon as you step inside, and another motion sensor light which turns on as you get to the top of the steps. There is a lock box at the front door, and we will provide you the code to open it before you check in. Location: The unit is directly above a restaurant, but the restaurant noise is very limited and the latest it's open is 10:30 PM on Friday's and Saturday's. Nearby: Within 1 block of the unit, there is a Stop n Shop grocery store, a Walgreens, a coffee shop, convenience store, and several restaurants and bars. Noise: The unit is on East Broadway, which is the main road going through South Boston. Guests can expect to hear some traffic noises during the day, but Southie traffic quiets down at night. There are also several bars in the area and guests may hear a group passing by on the sidewalk, but this is usually only on Friday/Saturday nights. Registration number STR-551941
