This newly renovated cozy modern 1 bed Loft Apt above our garage is an ideal stay for the discerning couple or professional visiting Athens for a week or wknd. It's also an ideal spot for UGA Football games with just a 1.8 mile walk/bike/drive or Uber to Sanford stadium -or .8 mile to Athens Park And Ride lots. Also, cyclists! Walkers! We can now walk just a few hundred yards to the newest entrance of The Athens Greenway & lush green Georgia FireFly Trail (it also goes downtown but is 3 miles) The space A newly renovated modern one-bedroom loft apartment above our garage, behind the house and facing 'somewhat' toward the lake. One new Crate & Barrel queen bed, a comfy soft leather couch and all amenities you could want are available - and if they aren’t just ask. We have many extras (pack n play, keurig, bikes, kayaks, etc). Reminder a '3rd person' is on our couch -or bring and air mattress. It’s really ideal for two people who want to quickly and easily be in downtown Athens or at UGA by bike or car but feel you are hidden away amongst the trees and the lake at Lakewood Athens. PS it looks like the trees have grown up to block the view of the lake currently. It’s an easy walk to it at the end of Edgewater Drive, and the bass are monsters coz no one ever fishes in this private lake near east athens. Here's a neat trick: *** You can connect to friends in 5-Points, downtown, or the stadium by bicycle all through a series of paved Greenway paths now connecting a block South of our neighborhood entrance. Anyway come one, come all- we’ll leave the back light on for ya. April & Nelson Guest access We give you the freedom to check in Yourself with either our door code or key. (We'll leave a key in your mailbox). Once parked right in front of your front door (the grass /straw is for parking) enter through the outside entrance next to the garage door. Head upstairs and enjoy your stay! The whole place is yours. Should you need anything we are usually next door or easy to reach - as are all the Athens stores, music venues, cocktail bars, and coffee shops (including locally roasted Athens Jittery Joe's coffee which we provide our guests). Other things to note Please note that you will need to climb a flight of stairs to access our space. Enjoy your stay in Athens! Also, there is absolutely No smoking in or around our place. Signs of smoking will mean immediate forfeiture of entire deposit. Thank you for understanding. Lastly, just across from our neighborhood & one block South is the entrance to the Athens Greenway which is a newly paved series of concrete bike paths and running lanes which connect to 5 Points, downtown Athens, north athens greenway and the Firefly trail of North Georgia as well as other athens Georgia areas. - it’s 3.5 curvy river miles to downtown by paved greenway.
