The Whistle Stop Cottage (Wells-Clardy House/National Register) was built in 1895 . This lovingly restored home is located next to downtown Laurens' charming Courthouse Square. The Cottage has a queen bed in one room. Two twins, which can be pulled together, in the adjoining room. The sofa in the living room can also be a single bed. A small train occasionally runs behind the home and Laurens Lumber blows its old work whistle at 8:00, noon, and 5:00...thus the Whistle Stop Cottage The space The parking is next to the home on a grassy lot. Parking is to the left of the home (if you are facing the home). It is an historic home, so there are some uneven transitions, please watch your step. The washer/dryer are located in the basement, the entrance to the basement is in the back. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home, other than supply closets, which will be locked.
