Our Peaceful Paradise by the River is a perfect place in Mindo to enjoy the beauty of nature, only situated a short walk from Mindo Center. The home close to restaurants, shopping, park & bus station. The house has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, and a 1/2 bathroom & full kitchen, Washer/Dryer. The living room has a sofa that opens to a bed. Enjoy a dip in the river or coffee on the balcony watching the humming birds. The house is next yoga retreat where they have sound healing, yoga, & more. The space Welcome to our Peaceful Paradise in Mindo. Spend your days enjoying local activities like bird watching, tubing, hiking and zip lining. Relax in the morning with your coffee on the porch overlooking the natural landscaping of our yard, and admire the humming birds and butterflies. Fall asleep each night to the lullaby of the clean river, or take a swim if you would like. The whole house features locally harvested wood and bamboo, local artisan made furniture and high ceilings, with plenty of natural light. There is hot water in the house in the bathrooms and kitchen. Upstairs is the Master bedroom loft, which features a Queen bed, private bathroom and balcony with high ceilings and fans. There is a spacious porch with a hammock for relaxing. The downstairs bedroom has a Double bed and private bathroom. Next to the downstairs bedroom, there is also a space you can use as an office downstairs and Amazon echo for music and a few games. The full kitchen has a refridgerator, stove/oven, microwave, a small blender, and toaster-oven. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, mugs and glassware, pots and pans, eating and cooking utensils. There is also some oil and basic cooking spices . Attached to the kitchen is a living room with 2 sofa beds. There is also a dining table crafted from local wood in natural style. There is a sliding screen door that opens to the back porch, where you can sit at the breakfast table to watch the birds and butterflies among the naturally landscaped yard. There are hummingbird feeders available for you to fill, as long as you clean them properly and refill at least every other day (or you can hire our house manager to do it for you) You may use the washer and dryer outside, a rare amenity in Mindo! Guest access You have access to the whole house other than locked storage areas Other things to note Please be aware, our home is in a natural environment. You may encounter spiders and bugs that get into the house. There is not a lot we can do about it, but you shouldn't have a big issue if you keep the house clean and free of food and crumbs. Don't leave produce and organic matter on the counters and clean up the floor when you eat or cook as not to attract ants and fruit flies that also can attract the spiders. We recommend opening the windows in the morning and closing them around 4pm when the mosquitos tend to come out so they don't bite you at night time. The downstairs sliding door has a screen, so you can keep that open for fresh air all day (I recommend keeping the slider closed with the screen because occasionally a hummingbird will fly straight in and get suck when it is wide open.
