Book your stay at the Rocking Shamrock Ranch for an unforgettable experience on a working Quarter Horse ranch. Relax in a spacious, 1,100-square-foot mountain-chic apartment nestled within our luxurious stables. Surrounded by Heart Mountain, McCullough Peaks, Carter Mountain, and the Absaroka Range, you’re only 10 minutes from downtown Cody, Yellowstone Regional Airport, and 45 minutes from Yellowstone’s east gate. Guests are welcome to bring their horses to enjoy boarding and arena access. The space The 1100 sq. ft. new construction apartment is located in a beautiful horse stable on the Rocking Shamrock Ranch. The apartment sleeps 3 persons comfortably. Also available is a double bed in the authentic circa 1880s sheep wagon, located approximately 100ft from the stable, which sleeps 1-2 persons depending upon age. This space is available upon request and only as an add-on to the booking. The kitchen and living room spaces with 15+ foot ceilings flow into each other, giving the area a very open feel. There is a sofa/daybed that sleeps 1 person in the living room and a center island/ counter height table that seats 4 for dining. There is also a TV in the living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large electric range/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, coffee maker, blender, toaster, utensils, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, wine glasses, barware, flatware, etc. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and single basin sink. Fluffy towels, premium shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and bar soap are included. Robes and slippers are also provided for guests to enjoy during your stay and are available for purchase should you wish to take them home with you. The large bedroom has 15+ foot ceilings and is appointed with a queen bed, dresser, night stands, TV, valet stand for clothes, 2 large mirrored closets, a ceiling fan and tower fan. Premium bed linens are provided as well as extra pillows and blankets. The tasteful mountain/western decor will add to your enjoyment of this beautiful room. The laundry/utility room has a large capacity washer and dryer. Laundry detergent and cleanings supplies are provided as is a drying rack for delicate clothes. For guests who wish to bring their horses, a limited amount of boarding is available. The cost is $50/horse/day and includes shelter, corral and high-quality hay as well as access to the round pen and 100 ft. x 200 ft. outdoor riding arena. Payment is due at check-in and is payable via electronic payment, cash or check. Please reach out to the host if you are interested in this. Guest access Guests are free to explore the 30 acre property, observe ranch operations, horse training and talk to staff, taking into consideration that it is a working ranch and that wildlife has open access, so common sense precautions should to be taken. Additionally, although interacting with our beautiful horses is a wonderful part of the guest experience, please talk to your hosts before touching, handling or feeding the horses as they want to ensure your equine experience is magical. *As a special add-on to a guest booking, we are offering accommodations in our authentic 1800's sheep wagon which can sleep 1-2 guests depending upon the age of the guest(s). The additional cost is $35/night or $50/night with sunrise continental breakfast. Please inquire for additional information and to book. **Although we do not offer riding on the property to our guests at this time, we do offer private horsemanship lessons on a limited basis. Lessons are an hour long and depending upon the experience of the guest can include handling, grooming, groundwork and riding skills. We will develop a lesson plan that is best suited for the guest. The cost is $100/hour and is payable prior to the lesson via electronic payment, cash or check. Proper riding attire is required to include long pants, a boot/shoe with a heel suitable for riding and a helmet. Helmets will be provided for guests who do not have one. Please inquire for further details. Other things to note Unwind and observe the rhythm of ranch life, savor a home-cooked meal in your own space, and explore Yellowstone, downtown Cody, the Big Horn and Beartooth Mountains, and the Cody Nite Rodeo (June through August).
