The Island is accessible by ferry from several mainland ports, including Rijeka, Zadar and Pula (the town’s ferry port is an 8-minute drive). The town is situated in a sheltered bay, surrounded by nature, pine forests and crystal-clear waters providing excellent conditions for swimming, boating and other water activities. Cycling is an excellent way to explore the local area and there is a bicycle rental shop a 1-minute walk away. There are several restaurants and grocery stores within a 5-10-minute walk and the main town square, situated on the waterfront, is a 10-minute walk. The beautiful beaches and seafront promenade of Čikat Bay are a 10-minute walk and Čikat Aquapark a 5-minute drive. Other places of interest include Lošinj Aromatic Garden (a 4-minute drive) and the Museum of Apoxyomenos, (dedicated to the ancient Greek statue of Apoxyomenos) is a 15-minute walk. The closest airport is Rijeka International Airport (RJK), located on the island of Krk. The airport is approximately a 2-hour 20-minute drive from the accommodation (including a ferry journey from Merag Ferry Port).
