Welcome to Eventide, our beloved vacation home—3000 sq. ft. of all the modern comforts you and your family/friends will need on a remote island like Eleuthera. Located in the beautiful town of Rainbow Bay, you will be centrally located on the Island with over 500 ft of limestone waterfront, paddle-boards, kayaks, community tennis court next door, games, Starlink Wifi, & much more. We can't wait for you to enjoy our piece of paradise! After renting in Eleuthera for many years we finally decided it was time to build a home with the modern comforts we are accustomed to in the US. The open concept living/dining/kitchen area has a beautiful view of the Caribbean through the large sliding doors, as well as a very comfortable sectional and 70" flat screen TV. Almost all the furniture in the house is imported Teak and Sourwood and the 3 main bedrooms have very comfortable memory foam mattresses. The 4 double bunk beds have classic thick pillow topper mattresses. We provide indoor/outdoor Cornhole, giant Jenga, and our dining room table can be turned into a ping-pong table. We have one large tandem kayak, two single kayaks, and two paddle boards to explore the "front yard." There is also a Rainbow Bay community tennis court 1 minute walk down the road. In our yard (facing the water) we’ve brought in a ton of sand and made our own elevated “beach” for lounging. Walk down the carved steps in front of the lounging area and you will be able to access the warm Caribbean via our swim platform chiseled out of the limestone, access the water by jumping off or climbing down the ladder a few feet. We are huge snorkeling/spearfishing enthusiasts and we've made it easy to pop in and out to check out the beautiful aquatic life! *Our caretaker Horatio provides in-house chef services. He would be happy to cook you delicious local Bahamian classics at a great price. Please contact him directly. The entire house, with the exception of the owners closet and the garage. If you're renting our home, then we won't be there. We might be in the boat house apartment next door but will keep to ourselves unless you need us! If we’re not on Island, you will have contact information for our caretaker who should be able to answer any questions or come by and help out if you're having any issues. If you'd like him to help with the water toys or anything else, please give him a call. Rainbow bay is a community of people from all over the world! Beautiful Rainbow Beach on the Caribbean side is just 1 mile down the road and many other Atlantic-side beaches are just a couple minutes drive away. The Sunset Cove and Rainbow Room Restaurant is a 1 minute walk across the road and up their lawn. Our home is located in between Governor's Harbor Airport (less than 20 mins) and North Eleuthera Airport (about 30 minutes), and about 15 minutes south of Gregory Town - another great locality filled with friendly Bahamians and tourists. Please check out the house manual after booking for suggestions. You'll need a rental car to get around Eleuthera. We provide you with suggestions for local car rentals in the House Manual. We recommend Kean Stubbs. You can park in the driveway or parallel park on the road across from the house. We used to provide guests bikes but they rust out very quickly and the main roads are not ideal for biking. Please rent a car. Eleuthera is a somewhat remote island, while we consider it paradise and our home is very comfortable, please expect “island quirks”.. Occasional power outages occur across the island, as do water main shut offs, which is offset by having a backup water cistern. Gnats and mosquitoes can be bad in late spring/summer/whenever there isn’t a breeze, bring bug spray with you around dusk. Eleuthera is always an adventure!! If you plan on bringing a pet, please contact us beforehand for approval and plan to bring a crate if you decide to leave your pet unattended at any time. We love people who travel with their pets, but if your pet damages the wood doors, teak furniture, or couch, you will be charged to replace or repair. *We will ask for a $150 pet cleaning fee to be charged when you arrive*
