Cozy 1 bed, 1 bath bungalow with breathtaking ocean views from the cliffs of Gregory Town, Eleuthera. This cozy 1 bed, 1 bath bungalow provides the perfect retreat while located just a mile south of Gregory Town's center. Fall asleep to sounds of the ocean, and wake up to beautiful Caribbean views without even getting out of bed. There is a loft space above the queen size bed for storing luggage or whatever else you might like to tuck away. The walkthrough bathroom leads into a small kitchen fully equipped with everything you'll need to prepare your own meals. Exit through the kitchen to find an enclosed outdoor, hot water shower. The back entrance provides the perfect solution for rinsing off the salt and sand before coming in from a day at the beach. Our bungalow is fully powered by solar energy, so when it comes to electricity, we are completely off-the-grid. The property is connected to city water, but for those days when the city water may go out, we'll always have a full water tank on reserve for our guests. While the bungalow does not have air conditioning, there is a central ceiling fan and oscillating wall fans above the bed and in the kitchen. Screened-in, slatted windows at both ends of the bungalow's rooftop provide a great cross-breeze, and both front and back doors have screen options as well. Our property consists of just under 5 acres of land stretching from The Queen's Highway to the cliffs overlooking the beautiful turquoise waters of Exuma Sound. While bush, cactus, palmettos, and rocks line most of the cliff's edge, there is no actual fence or wall. There is an 80 foot straight drop from the cliff to the ocean below. For this reason, children under 18 will not be permitted on the property. All renters must be at least 25 years of age. Because of our clifftop location, there is no direct access to the water from our property. The famous Surfer's Beach is the closet beach to the bungalow located just under 2 miles to our south. We (Robert & Molly) do live on the property. Our A-frame bungalow is just next door to the rental. We currently do not rent out our house. If Robert and I are on-island during your stay, please rest assured that we are very respectful of our guests' privacy. As you drive down our long, private driveway, you will see various projects underway. While finishing up our house, we are also working on cultivating an organic garden, small pineapple field and fruit tree grove. You may see some gardening and building; however, no loud construction will take place while guests are on the property. Your peaceful stay is our highest priority. *Guests must be at least 25 years old. *Rental car is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for our location. *Please do not use drones on the property. *Guests are required to sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. We strongly recommend renting a car for your stay. There are so many beautiful beaches and places to check out here on Eleuthera! Without a car, you'll be very limited as far as exploring the island is concerned. If you do decide to book with us, I'll send along a list of suggestions for who to contact about reserving a car.
