Casa Piedra Del Mar- (Stones from the Ocean) Suspended like a precious stone around a neck of hills above an elegant crescent shaped bay is, Casa Piedra Del Mar. Below Casa Piedra the living waters of the Costa Alegre (the happy coast) splash with Pelicans, deep-running whales, busy fishermen, and the ambling street life of the town of La Manzanilla. The space Built in 2005 Casa Piedra Del Mar is owned and operated by Gustavo Caballero and Artist John Fraticelli’s. The home exemplifies their spirit of for the land, eye for design, and commitment to beauty.Casa Piedra is a modern interpretation of Mexican architecture and style. Each room is tastefully decorated with a special focus on color and texture. One example is the specially created ceramic style for the kitchen. The home features custom art by local designer Angela Lopez (Pintura Artistica). THIS UNIT DOES NO HAVE AIR CONDITIONING You are coming to a tropical destination. The weather changes and can get warm at times. This property does not have air conditioning, but has ceiling and floor fans. Please be aware of this detail. The roads to the property are not paved and a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. During the rainy season (June-November) roads can be non accessible at times if there is heavy rains. It can be accessed by walking when this happens. The owners in the neighborhood all share the costs of keeping the roads in the best condition possible. Other things to note NO PETS The home is situated in a very quiet cul de sac. Rarely any car traffic and great area to go hiking. Property consists of Casa Piedra and Casita Driftwood- a separate rental (shared property) It is on a hillside and has stairs to access the property. You must be ok with stairs and also ok with walking up and down the hill if you are not renting a car. There are stairs to get into the property and down to the pool area. Getting around The town offers taxi service and daily bus schedules to the surrounding areas. Most of my renters never have a car and prefer to take in the village with walks. Taxi service is available from the main town up the hill if needed for a few pesos. No Microwave.....just a toaster oven along with conventional oven This property is shared with Casita Driftwood a separate rental. You can inquire with the owner Parking- if you are renting a car a 4x4 is recommended. Though small cars have not been an issue, it depends on the weather how the roads are.
