Grosse Pointe Park Charmer
Welcome to Beaconsfield in Grosse Pointe Park where 1920s meets 2020s! This 1920s home has been renovated to provide you with modern amenities while keeping authenticity and charm of the 1920s. The location is prime; head into town a few blocks up for coffee, shopping, eating and libations. It's close proximity to Detroit is ideal for when you want to go downtown for dinner, a game or a concert. This home is a cozy, family friendly space in a safe, quiet neighborhood. The space The living room is a cozy space for you to gather, read a book, or watch a movie. Enjoy a family meal around the dining room table. The kitchen is stocked with all your basic needs including pots/pans, cooking utensils, tea kettle, coffee pot (single pod or pot) along with a starter of coffee, tea, pods and sugar. We also have a toaster that is stored in the pantry. Guest access Please make yourselves comfortable. We do ask that you not access the back porch (it has not been renovated yet) or the basement storage rooms. Other things to note This is our home away from home when we are visiting our family in Michigan. We have set it up to be comfortable for our needs as well as our guests' needs. The bunk bed has a trundle. It's important to provide the correct guest count so we're sure to have the proper bedding available for the trundle that is not typically made up. Please keep in mind this home is nearly 100 years old and has some original features still in place to keep the charm of the era. We love, honor and embrace all that a nearly 100 year home provides us, creaky floors and all! We will charge the pet fee if we find out you have brought a pet without notifying us. We allow 1 dog; there's no reason to not add that pet to the reservation. We allow 1 dog as long as it's potty trained and not left in the house on it's own to cause damage. We do not allow any other pets besides a dog. We will also charge $50/day for each additional person over 6 people. The city is really cracking down on short term rentals and they are setting guidelines including number of guests based on number of rooms. I need to follow those guidelines or could risk losing the ability to short term rent. Please be respectful and have no more than 6 people.
